Amazing location, beautiful views across the valley. The house was very cosy for a family of 5. Resonably close (drive) to shops. Hosts were absoluly loverly.

Fabulous cottage in a wonderful location.

Fabulous cottage in a wonderful location. The countryside is beautiful and so peaceful, but the motorway, supermarket, outlet centre, cinema and restaurants are all within 2 or 3 miles. Paul and Keith are terrific hosts and on hand to sort out any problems. This was our third visit and we’ve already booked again for next year. Looking forward to it already! Perfect.

Perfect. Peace and quiet. Complete relaxation. The views of the rolling green hills from the main bedroom are amazing. The cottage is very clean with particular attention to COVID-19 sanitation requirements being met. We felt assured that we were safe. Any unforeseen issues that we had with the cottage were remedied as quickly as possible. The cottage is in the perfect location for you to be as busy or relaxed as you like. There are many things to explore close by. The landscaped gardens are beautiful too. We enjoyed eating alfresco most days, either at the table in the garden or on the deck at the cottage. The beds are extremely comfortable as well. Paul and Keith are fabulous hosts and I thank them for ensuring we had such a wonderful holiday. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

This was our second stay at Meadow Croft and we arrived to find a brand new kitchen.

This was our second stay at Meadow Croft and we arrived to find a brand new kitchen. The cottage is very well equipped with lovely, comfortable beds. It really is a little piece of heaven - so peaceful and calming with lovely gardens and lots of outdoor seating areas. Lying in bed, I was listening to the sheep in the field, a fox barking in the distance and owls hooting. I love the road up from Lewiston with it’s crazy curves and fields full of sheep. We were driving down the road one day and an old man in a flat cap was driving a horse and carriage up the road towards us. All of this and it’s only about two miles to a Sainsburys superstore, an outlet centre with a cinema and the motorway for trips to Cardiff or even Swansea. Paul & Keith are wonderful hosts and greeted us with fresh eggs from their hens and help with our bags. The only other thing I would say is that a week is not long enough!

We loved this cottage.

We loved this cottage. 3 bedrooms all roomy and a lovely large lounge/diner/kitchen well laid out and easy on the eye. Very comfortable. Sadly we did find the mattresses a little on the firm side for our liking, but that aside whis is a beautiful cottage in a wonderful location. If you are lloking for peace and quiet this is the place. The oweners Paul & Keith were welcoming and even offered to help us in with our bags and we were also greeted by the pub landlord as well! On top of a hill with a chapel and pub next door and nothing else but sheep and cows and green fields and a view to die for. Cardiff only 30 minutes drive. The Rhondda valley 15 minutes drive. Beaches 20 minutes drive. Bridgend 15 minutes. M4 10 minutes.The brecon beacons 40 minutes drive. The area is steeped in culture and histroy and we would have loved to have stayed for 2 weeks. One week was not enough. in fact this would be my perfect retirement cottage. Great value for money compared to other cottages offering similar and we hope one day to book again and have that other week!

Lovely cottage with everything we needed and more, the pictures do not do it justice.

Lovely cottage with everything we needed and more, the pictures do not do it justice. We were made to feel welcome by the owners who were also very helpful but not intrusive. The local pub was friendly and served good reasonably priced meals. We have no hesitation in recommending, as Meadow Croft is one of the best cottages we have stayed in and hope to return next year.
