Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa en el hostal, nos atendieron muy bien. La zona es perfecta ya que te da opción a ver Santa Marta, que es más auténtico y Varadero más turístico a 5min. Nos dejaron bicis y recorrimos la zona. Lo recomiendo, un servicio muy y una estancia muy satisfactorios!

Wow! What a great spot to explore Varadero. Incredibly clean! Modern air conditioning and wifi! We absolutely loved our stay and will come back for sure. Be sure to have the delicious breakfast! 10/10!

Mimi’s Palace is a self-contained modern 2-bedroom ground floor apartment in Santa Marta – very handy for the airport at Varadero, if you have just arrived in Cuba or are leaving shortly, but Santa Marta itself is a lovely little town with some nice restaurants and bars, a great beach and a marina – well worth a longer visit if you would prefer to keep away from the big hotels out on the peninsula. The apartment is clean, comfortable, air-conditioned and well-equipped - microwave, kitchen equipment, good kettle, etc. The beds and the towels are huge. The owner, who is very friendly, lives upstairs, but the ground floor apartment has its own courtyard garden with a fountain, and we were visited there by the owner’s delightful little dog – a definite plus! Breakfast was really good.

Nice little spot for the money to start a Cuba trip out of Varadero airport. The two ladies you’ll deal with give you some local experience. The power is out a bunch for that’s the case for much of the town. So sometimes the hot water isn’t there (due to no power) Couple of little dogs too that are cute. The best thing I’d say is you can rent a bike for $5 to explore the Varadero peninsula. Fun for sure. On foot it’s a good 20 minute walk from the beach.

The room has a lot of facilities. Magnetron, tv etc. Damila is very helpful and speaks very good English. Good breakfast and coffee.

a very good airconditioned room with very helpfull staff. you can easily rent a bike here to go to the beach and advoid the busy center whilst saving on expensive taxis. the breakfast is also great

It is a gated property. I never felt unsafe but it truly is an oasis in this neighbourhood. I was not able to find an ATM with any cash in it in the town or in Varadero.Mimi's mother and the staff worked with me so that I could have a good breakfast and afford transport to the airport. My only complaint is that the air conditioning just blew hot air but the shower was plenty cold (no hot water). :-)

We really feel any discomfort you have had with the water and cold air you should have said it there while enjoying your stay because maybe you were not putting the split in air and only in fan and water really with the heat that is in Cuba remains boiling. In Cuba, problems with ATMs are very common and like that many more, it is a country with deficiencies, However we try to give the best service to our guests with what little we have. Thanks for your time to comment.

The property itself is very nice, spacious, clean and tidy. The ladies were also very friendly and helpful. The homemade breakfast was awesome and probably best so far we have had in Cuba. But the location is a bit far away from Veradero beach, though the bikes made it more accessible to us. What is also quite frustrating is the bathroom facilities. The water was so weak that it felt almost like dripping. No hot water either.

Very good . Recommended. A little bit of Walt from the beach . 20 min . She charges for internet 3 usd per day ( first time I see that !) . Apparently breakfast are amazing

Comfortable stay
Really enjoyed my stay here. Fantastic host, very friendly and helpful! The room is spacious, comfortable bed and very clean. It is a bit off from the beaches but in a wackable distance or reachable with a taxi for a small fare. Would stay again.

People there are so kind and helpful, bed is not comfy at all. Shower water pressure is super low but there ia hot water. Alot of flies. It is safe to stay there. You also get what you paid for so don't have expectations

This clean and comfortable Casa Particulaire has on staff a lovely woman named Damieles who is very well trained in guest accommodation. She does cleaning, serves breakfast, answers questions about the area, assists with translation when contact with the owner is needed and more.

Das war bisher meine erste gebuchte Unterkunft über Expedia und diese hat mich mehr als zufrieden gestimmt. Die Unterkunft war groß und gemütlich. Täglich wurde das Zimmer frisch gemacht. Es wurde einem geholfen, sich in Santa Marta zurecht zu finden. Man hatte immer einen Ansprechpartner bei der Unterkunft, auch in Englisch! Würde ich sofort wieder buchen! :)

Great secure location close to both Varadero and restaurants in Santa Marta. Especially coffe shop. Great host and staff. Room had everything needed. Nice little private cafe style patio.

I had a wonderful stay at Mimi’s. The place was spotless, and the room had everything you could have needed. The air conditioning worked great and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast they make is the best I had while in Cuba! Such a lovely stay! Santa Marta is much more affordable then Veradada and has a local, laid back feel. I hope to return soon.

The highlight of this property for me was the housekeeper Damelis, so friendly welcoming and helpful, the mother of the owner Aurelia who lives in the above house is also very friendly and helpful. Just a short walk away is a lovely coffee shop (Caffecino) that makes glorious coffee and also a bakery making amazing cakes, pastries, tartes etc. Across the road about a 50m walk is Atlantico restaurant that makes fantastic food very reasonable prices. There was a couple of Italian couples who came in and ordered the spaghetti, so that is a great endorsement right there, say no more. You will not be disappointed staying in this property trust me.
