Quiet and Serene

This stay was one of the best we've had over the years. Clean, comfortable, well stocked kitchen, luxury bed linens. Bed was comfortable. Alexandra and Stephan were very accommodating and friendly. Location is quiet and secluded. We plan on returning.

Rio Grand Bike path access right out your door

We enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were great. The house is centrally located for outdoor activities and sightseeing in the Carbondale area. The property management couple were very helpful and informative about the area, offering suggestions of what to see. All in all it was a great experience and would opt to return again.

Almost Heaven

Location near the roaring Fork River and Rio Grande Trail for biking is incredible. Kitchen, fully stocked, clean and modern. Pull out couch, where the kids slept could use a thicker mattress. hot tub, ping-pong this place has it all.

Perfect spot

My husband and I had the best week of some major R&R. They aren’t lying when they say it’s a bit of Heaven. Sleeping with the bedroom window open every night to hear the sound of the Roaring Fork River and reading next to the river was so relaxing. The entire property is gorgeous, the space itself is very clean and comfortable. The hosts were super accommodating and gave great advice on where to eat and visit in the area. We will definitely be back again!

You Will Want To Stay Here

Stefan and Alexandra’s place along the Roaring Fork River is amazing! We will stay there every chance we get when visiting Carbondale, Colorado. The morning time in the hot tub when the temperature is 40 or 50 is so refreshing! Sitting outside in the comfortable lounge chairs and listening to the river and watching the wildlife is so relaxing and refreshing. You will want to stay here if you ever are in the Carbondale area. Thanks, Stefan and Alexandra for making this a special time for us. You were great hosts.

Absolutely Amazing Hosts!

Alexandra and Stephen are so welcoming and warm. Perfect location with views of the river from the bed. Inside is very clean and inviting. Quiet, beautiful location. Best vacation I have ever had. Loved playing with the dogs and getting to know them. We are already talking about future trips back and staying in this same location. Thank you both for the memories!

Visit to Carbondale

Beautiful location steps away from the river on multiple acre property. My dog lived having run of the property with owner/hosts 2 dogs. Hosts (Alexandra and Stefan) live in another building on site and are extremely welcoming and helpful. The suite is immaculately maintained and well supplied, with comfy king size bed in room that opens out to river and hot tub. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I am a repeat customer of this wonderful properity. The owners Stefan and Alexandra were wonderful hosts.The unit has everything you need while you are staying there. Cozy and comfortable with outstanding views

The property is nestled in a canyon next to the Roaring Fork River with amazing ponds and beautiful scenery. Beautifully decorated, it has all the amenities of home. It is small but perfect for a couple. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again.

We just love it here

This is our third time staying at this wonderful spot. Alexandra and Stefan are the kindest of hosts, and the accommodations are inviting, comfortable, and classy. So much to do nearby -- cycling, hiking, fishing, day tripping to Redstone or Glenwood. Sitting in the hot tub looking out at the river is the best, most relaxing way to end the day. Plus, we saw the bear and one of her cubs! :) Thanks for another relaxing stay, Alexandra and Stefan, and we hope to see you again soon! C & M

Home Away From Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our month-long stay at A Bit Of Heaven! Relaxing at river level is so peaceful. The mama bear and cub sitings were a special treat, the 95 ducks were a welcome sight each morning and evening, and Sassy and Spanky were great hosts — just like their parents! We loved this location, which feels like it’s off the beaten path but it’s actually only minutes from town! We loved the access to the Rio Grande Trail, which provided great views of the Roaring Fork River and Mt Sopris. The home was well-appointed, the furniture was comfortable, the water pressure was strong and the hot water was hot!! Alexandra & Stefan are excellent hosts with an attention to detail, quick to respond, and very friendly, interesting and entertaining. We’ve been traveling to Colorado for several years, but this is the first time that we felt like we were “home”. Thank you Alexandra & Stefan for sharing your “bit of heaven” with us. We are looking forward to seeing you again in September 2025! Stay well and take care.

Beautiful riverside retreat

The abode was as listed and felt private and comfortable. It was furnished with everything we could need and Alexandra and Stefan were welcoming and engaging. We enjoyed the setting and would definitely return.
