We retreated to this mountain refuge with hope to just sit and revel in the majesty of silence, beauty and no schedule. Our hopes were met. Except for one meal which we ate at the local excellent bbq restaurant, we cooked in and ate out on the deck looking up to Mt. Whitehouse. We read, and listened, and took a couple of easy walks around the quaint town. Yes, it is well located to offer day trips to endless attractions, but we delighted in the comfort of the cabin, its environs, and its natural hospitable presence to simply embrace us in peace. We enjoyed the curious appearance in two of our three evenings of a gray fox couple, the daytime brief flash and dash of a juvenile moose, the meandering of a wild turkey through the property, and the constant companionship of hummingbirds at the deck feeder. It was a wonderful time out of time, and we plan on returning! Bravo, Tom and Kay, and thank you!👏❤️
