Tarpon Cove is an amazing place to stay. It is beautifully decorated and appointed with everything you could need. They have truly thought of it all. The hosts are very responsive to any questions, and answer very promptly. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door. The island is a paradise- a perfect place to relax and unwind. Highly recommend staying here!

2025/Christmas Vacation!We had a fantastic vacation at this wonderful property on North Captiva! Our hosts were extremely helpful, showing us the island and giving recommendations. The property is beautifully appointed, with lovely holiday touches like a Christmas tree and decorations which we loved. Magical

We loved our stay on North Captiva and loved Tarpon Cove. There is a beautiful beach right around the corner from the house where we saw manatees and dolphins and watched the sunrise. A four-ish minute golf cart ride will take you to the pool, which my kids loved, and Mango’s there has really good food. Sunset beach was wonderful for shelling and watching the sunset. We didn’t want to leave! The only thing we would do differently is to make sure we wear bug spray, especially in the afternoons and around dusk.

Wonderful Vacation

This home was the best. We have been to North Captiva 3 times now. The home owners were so easy to deal with and the home had everything you could ask for, especially if you have children. The beds were really comfortable and the home was very clean and high end. The location was perfect. Will likely be renting this home again for our next trip to NC.

A Perfect Island Retreat: Our Memorable Stay at Tarpon Cove

We had a wonderful stay at Tarpon Cove. It was our first time visiting North Captiva, and we loved it. Lana and Andrey are wonderful hosts—highly attentive, excellent communicators, and genuinely kind and pleasant individuals. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable for our group of six. It served as a perfect retreat to relax both inside and out after spending the day at the beach or exploring the island and nearby attractions.We especially loved the new deck/patio area on the ground level, where we spent a lot of time as a family enjoying the beautiful weather. The kids played while we relaxed in the Adirondack chairs or the hammock. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we highly recommend this rental for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We will definitely be returning to Tarpon Cove.

Great stay on North Captiva

Really nice place, good communication, great location. Really liked all the outdoor spaces and access to a dock. Very well stocked kitchen. Only drawback was Wifi was a bit slow. Otherwise a very nice stay on a beautiful island.

July 2022 Family Beach Vacation for 5

Our 11 night stay at Tarpon Cove on North Captiva was just what we needed, with plenty of R&R - beach time and chilling at the lovely home. Quick and easy access to 4 beaches, each with its own advantages. We enjoyed watching sunrises from our dock or Dolohin Beach, and kayaking at Dolphin Beach right next to multiple dolphins and manatees! Many sunsets at sunset beach and quick & easy access for short-term beaching. South Beach is vast and never crowded, with the middle beach our most frequent destination. Both where we watched manatees and tarpon swimming by almost daily. The house is wonderfully supplied for beach fun, cooking, and basic necessities- above and beyond most other VRBO destinations. We brought our groceries over via ferry (Island Girl Charters) w us from Publix in Cape Coral. No need for ANYTHING dressy - NC is 100% relaxed and casual. Our teens desired a bit more to do, but it was a fantastic experience and gave us a lot of valuable family time! Andrey & Lana were wonderful!

Just what our family needed!

This property was absolutely wonderful and the property owners are even more wonderful. It was a seamless check in and check out and everything leading up to it was also seamless. The house is so well-suited for a family and they thought of everything including crafts for kids, and fun pool/beach toys. Next time I can pack at least two bags less because they’re so prepared. We will definitely come back to this house again.

Loved Tarpon Cove & North Captiva

We really enjoyed Tarpon Cove and North Captiva, The home was lovely as are the hosts. Perfect fit for our family of 5. Enjoyed grilling out every night, reading on the porch, sunsets on the beach, dolphins, shelling and just about everything. We will definitely return!

Wonderful stay at North Captiva!

Property was well equipped, clean and beautiful. The hosts were responsive to our (many!!) questions regarding all of the logistics for our first stay on North Captiva and also very helpful/patient. The island itself is lovely. We really couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing getaway and hope to return!

Great north captiva home

We had a week in February at this Tarpon Cove house. The 2 bedroom 3 bathroom house is fully updated and a Luxurious retreat for our family. The island is remote with access only by ferry but if you want a few days off the grid this one is for you. Andrey and Lana are great hosts with a well stocked well organized home.

The island is an eco-enthusiasts dream come true!

Our family visited North Captiva for the first time over the holidays and New Year. This enchanting island is an eco-enthusiasts dream come true! Our hosts, Lana and Andrey, own and privately manage Tarpon Cove and it shows. The house is immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and stocked with essentials and many extras you might need during a vacation is paradise! Navigating the details on travel arrangements, groceries and rentals was no small task, but the Gera’s provided a thorough welcome packet and Lana patiently answered my many questions and gave great advice, which eased the task of preparation and planning. The Geras were both communicative and accommodating prior to and during our stay.. We were a group of 6 (3 adults and 3 older teenagers) and booked Pine Island Taxi for our airport transfer to the marina, a private water taxi through Boats and Fun and opted to have our groceries delivered to the house prior to our arrival and I am so glad we did! Our flights were cancelled and rerouted at the last minute, pushing back our arrival time by 4 hours, but our transports were able to adjust their pick-up times AND, although we arrived after dark, our heroic host, Andrey, was waiting for us at the dock. Boats and Fun was closed when we arrived, but our captain was prepared with the paperwork for the additional Golf Cart we rented. Thank you all for your help! Advice from a 1st timer… Book your transportation, rentals and activities well in advance of your trip. Buy more groceries than you think you need, including beverages. The island is casual so pack lightly. The evenings were cool so pack a sweater. Bring plenty of sun block and bug spray. Prepare to Relax!

Beautiful & Adventurous Retreat

Tarpon Cove is the perfect location for a relaxing experience with a touch of adventure in North Captiva. The home is beautiful, clean and comfortable. It is very serene with the perfect combination of adventure! Being able to access the personal dock and kayak with dolphins was amazing! We experienced all types of wildlife exposure! The golf cart was great too! Bikes were very nice and the owners have everything you need for the beach including towels and chairs. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and the space is very clean and comfortable. Beds were all very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed every minute and definitely will return to Tarpon Cove and we hope to stay longer on our next visit!

Island dream; steps to the beach!

Our large group needed 2 homes while on vacation this year. This home was exceptional! All of the photos and descriptions helped prepare us for the beauty of the house, and we were still surprised and impressed. This home has everything you need and plenty of space to spread out. The bathrooms are unbelievable and immaculate! The kitchen is a dream but was under utilized for us since our meals were prepared in our other rental. The “extras” under the house were a great bonus for all of us. We kayaked to the airstrip one evening and sat while 30 dolphins swam and jumped around us. What a treat! The kayak was a highlight and not expected! All of the screened porches and deck space were wonderful and the home felt so welcoming. I had great communication with our hosts, who are wonderful people! I spend hours reading reviews and browsing rentals for the best spot for my family...this is a home I would love to visit again.

Home away from Home

Tarpon Cove is very clean, nicely decorated,and comfortable. The owners are beyond helpful we needed to ship somethings home and the owner went to get us boxes. Low-Key Luxury/Pointers for First Timers

This was SUCH A GREAT vacation! We LOVED our stay! On the Hosts: Lana and Andrey are wonderful and detail orientated hosts! They are BEYOND helpful to ensure they create a fantastic guest experience. Pre-planning is a priority. Lana was so patient yet diligent with communication. Had she not been, I'd have missed our first day on the island as we grabbed the last few seats available for a ferry just in time. On Transportation to and around the Island: Reserve your Ferry/Water Taxi right away, especially if you are arriving on a weekend during peak. Golf Carts: One SUPER FUN golf cart for four is offered with the property. Lana suggested renting a second and to reserve it early. I opted to spare the expense and make it work with one. Even with the wonderful bikes that are available, we quickly realized that error. All carts were reserved for weeks by time I inquired. Andrey and Lana were heros and saved the day, but that was luck. Reserve a cart at least a month ahead of time! On the House: The home is as GORGEOUS and clean as shown. Every detail for a great stay is well thought out. The beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are luxurious. Outdoor shower for sand removal. Kitchen: As a busy career Mom with older kids and a family scattered at dinner time, I actually look forward to cooking while on vacation. The stove/oven and kitchen tools are usually a low priority in vacation homes. NOT in this case. Everything I needed and more was there and very high quality. The porch swing was my favorite place to spend time in the evening. Just SO QUIET and BEAUTIFUL! On activities: I didn't realize how intense the sun is so close to the equator. The house had LOTS of great beach gear, umbrellas and chairs and two small sun shelters. I recommend packing a pop-up 10x10 canopy for the beach for shade to build castles and break from the sun. The Island: ITS STUNNING!!! Kayak, nature walks, shelling, beach, pools and bar time. Going to the beach at pitch dark to star gaze, WOW! I would recommend renting a boat (Boats and fun) for up to two days as Island hopping was so much fun! Shopping on Captiva, lunching on Cabbage key and much easier than scheduling charters and not much more cost and freedom from schedules to boot! Food: Budget A LOT for groceries. Costs are 40-60% higher on the mainland groceries plus 35% service fee with grocery service (WORTH IT!!!) Pack as many dry goods in totes as you can and bring them with you!

Wonderful property!

This home was one of the best rentals we've had. It was updated, beautifully decorated, and very clean. The private dock and little bay beach across the street made our stay. It was aslso totally equipped (beach gear, toys, fishing poles, cast net, beach bikes, sand cart, floats, and more!). Additionally, the owners were always just a text away. Highly recommend.

The Best VRBO Ever

Tarpon cove

Tarpon Cove deserves more than five stars. Awesome house on an awesome island. Lana and Andrey were a pleasure to work with and responded quickly with any question I had. I had a small issue with our luggage at no fault of Tarpon Cove. Lana and Andrey offered to make a grocery run and help out any way they could. The house was very clean decorated beautifully. I have been to the island four times and Tarpon Cove was definitely the cleanest and most comfortable. If the dates you want are available at Tarpon Cove, book it!!!
