Historic 3BR Cottage with Optional Upstairs Suite, Steps to Beach & Village

  • Island House es una cabaña privada en el centro de Captiva Village, al otro lado de Binder Lane desde la orilla de la bahía. Está construido en el viejo estilo de Florida y está registrado como una cabaña histórica. El 28 de marzo de 2018, la Sociedad Histórica de la Isla Captiva organizó una celebración del 100 aniversario de Island House. Construido en 1918 por F. A. Lane y más tarde propiedad del Pastor Rawls hasta 1978, cuando Joe y Nan Baer compraron la Island House y hoy permanece en la familia Baer / Terrill.

    Esta es una excelente ubicación con tan fácil acceso a pie a tiendas y restaurantes. Pasee por Andy Rosse Lane hasta la playa.

    Island House tiene tres dormitorios y tres baños, además de una cama de día en una habitación más pequeña. Hay una cocina completa, un porche acristalado y un bonito patio trasero. Cuenta con una lavandería con lavadora / secadora. Para una familia que requiere menos espacio, puede alquilar solo los dos dormitorios y dos baños de la planta baja por separado por una tarifa semanal reducida.

Captiva island paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are return guests to this well appointed home. We love the location with a short walk to the beach and many restaurant options. We saw lots dolphins at the beach and manatees in the marina. Great family time!

Location, Location, Location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great stay with our family of 4. We are a couple in our 50's traveling with our sons 19 & 20. The perfect part about this property besides the location is the "in-law" apartment. Our son's enjoyed their own space. The home had everything you would need for a perfect beach vacation. Many plates, utensils, beach chairs, outdoor shower, board games, etc. Location was truly amazing. About 2/10th of a smile from the beach, close to the restaurants but set back just enough to be away from the noise and hustle-bustle.

Great house and location

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Short 8-10 minute walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. The upstairs can only be accessed by using the outside stair case, so that’s not ideal. I came with my one year old son and packed a pack and play and everything else I needed. The house actually had a pack and play, umbrella stroller and toys! Which was super nice. Also had beach chairs and beach towels. The only problem I had with the house was that it was dirty. The air vents are discussing. It is clear they haven’t been cleaned in at least 6 months, probably longer. The fans also had a huge layer of dust. One of the air vents didn’t even have a filter in it. Under the couch is was gross and near the TV I don’t think it has ever been cleaned. The house is in need of a BIG time cleaning. That was my only problem with the house.

Absolutely Loved Everything

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very charming house. We have 4 kids (17, 13, 11, 9) and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids loved being in the living quarters upstairs. 5 minute walk to the beach. 1-5 min walk to all restaurants. The property owner is most helpful and kind property owner I have rented from. Beach chairs, beach toys and towels are neatly provided. Everything describing the house and the reviews I read were extremely accurate. Would stay at this location again in a heartbeat.

Loved Island House!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Four of us stayed at Island House for a week. Some of us have been renting from American Realty for over 30 years. The quiet street is just steps from sunrise and two blocks from sunset. The updated house had everything we wanted and the upstairs apartment provided just enough privacy. As usual, the American Realty staff took care of everything. Can’t wait to return to Captiva.
