    Experience the beauty of Captiva Island in this fully remodeled vacation home, perfectly located in the desirable Sunset Captiva community. Set across from the pool and just steps from the beach boardwalk, this home offers both privacy and convenience, making it an ideal getaway for families or couples.

    The Community
    Sunset Captiva is one of the island’s most popular neighborhoods, centrally located along more than six miles of pristine Gulf shoreline. Guests enjoy access to a large heated pool, two tennis courts, a community boat dock, and a recreation area with picnic tables and gas grills. The community also features a private boardwalk to the beach, a nature trail leading to Chapel By The Sea, and covered parking. From here, you are just a short walk to Captiva Village with its dining, shopping, and entertainment.

    The Home
    Sunset Captiva #16 has been newly remodeled with a modern kitchen, updated bathrooms, and new flooring throughout. The open, airy floor plan flows onto a wrap-around porch, surrounded by tropical landscaping that creates a peaceful, private setting. A ground-level beach room with a private outdoor shower (hot and cold water) makes returning from the Gulf simple and refreshing.

    Policies and Details

    Minimum stay: one week (Saturday to Saturday)

    Occupancy: 6 persons maximum

    Sorry, no pets allowed

    All reservations and cancellations are subject to American Realty Rental Agreement policies when booked through third-party platforms

    4% convenience fee for credit/debit card payments

    $255 cancellation fee (plus applicable tax); cancellations allowed up to 120 days before arrival with partial refund (excluding reservation fee and tax); no refunds after that window

    Dock space for one boat may be available through the Sunset Captiva association (separate from this rental and subject to availability/fees)

Perfect location with short walk to beach

Comfortable home with plenty of space for our family. Location is amazing! Small issue we had at the beginning of our stay was promptly and kindly taken care of. Good communication with the host!

Beautiful and comfortable Captiva home!

This beautiful Captiva home has everything you need to enjoy time in paradise with friends or family! The kitchen had everything we needed, beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space to gather as well as spots to curl up and read. Beach chairs and toys were abundant. George the on site handy man does an excellent job keeping everyone happy and the grills and pool area looking great. Beach access is fantastic. Only bummer was tennis courts being redone, but will be up and running soon w pickle courts. We will be back for sure!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a Gem of a neighborhood in Captiva, Fl. This house exceeded expectations. It was updated, clean and just perfect, especially with first floor bedroom. The house was just across from the community pool, tennis and pickle ball court and a short walk to the beach. The screened in porch was surrounded by tropical foliage and was cozy and inviting. The house was well stocked and beach supplies plentiful, along with a beach cart! it was nicely landscaped and the outdoor spaces were appreciated - under house, multiple balconies, and screened in porch. Kitchen was up to date.

We will be back

We had a great stay at 16 Urchin Ct. Sunset Captiva is a beautiful complex and this house was very comfortable (the house layout and beds were great). The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking pans and utensils. You will need to bring your own cooking items (oil, cooking spray, etc) as there are none in the house. There were a few dishwasher pods but not enough for a weeks stay. They have towels (shower and beach) but you’ll need your own laundry detergent and extra paper towels and toilet paper They had beach umbrellas, a wagon for hauling items to the beach, chairs, and sand toys. There is no outdoor shower as stated but there is a hose for using after the beach. It’s a stones throw from the pool and tennis courts and within walking distance to restaurants and extremely close to the beach. We would stay here again. Captiva is truly amazing!

We love this area and plan on returning next year. My only complaint about our house was the kitchen was awkward.

This property was in close proximity to the pool and beach but the carpets and upholstered furniture are in dire need of a deep cleaning. The 1st floor shower drain needed daily unclogging and the 2nd floor shower had some mold.Outdoor furniture is very worn and soiled.

I wish they used digital door locks instead of keys as only one key was initially provided although we got a second one on Tuesday from the office (office was closed Saturday evening when we arrived and didn't open until Tuesday because of the holiday). Our A/C stopped working on Monday afternoon (holiday) but got in touch with Albert at American Realty and he managed to have technicians there within an hour to repair it. Would definitely rent with them again!

Perfect August Stay

Wonderful property that provided everything our family of four needed. The location was great with only a short walk to a beautiful beach and restaurants. We're very much looking forward to our return!

Had a great stay. Perfectly centered between the beach and the town center. Yards from the pool and grills. Spacious home for 6 people (bonus loft with 2 twins plus the two bedrooms listed). Big upper floor sun deck for afternoon sun. We made use of the available beach chairs and umbrellas. The shed had beach toys, coolers, and wagon available also. Arrangements and entry were seamless. Near record temps made for a great week at the beach. We received all that was advertised. We hope to stay here again.
