Once in a lifetime experience! This was our best stay during our entire Hawaiian vacation! My husband and I enjoyed the king bedroom suite and enormous shower with the most incredible VIEW! Wow! Wow! Plenty of room for our family of five to spread out, with our two boys sharing one bedroom at the other end of the house with their own bathroom and our daughter getting the queen murphy bed all to herself in the living room with her own bathroom as well. We loved the kitty! So friendly and never a bother at all. Host was helpful and brought us flashlights and umbrellas when a storm was brewing. Easy to find and private from other neighbors! Would definitely recommend this location to anyone, especially a family that wants to unwind and retreat! Thank you for making your home available to give us this experience!!!

This property was absolutely stunning! Would stay here over and over again! The views are incredible, 5 minute drive to the beach (bring water shoes), and the extra murphy bed in the living room was perfect addition the the other rooms to fit 6 adults comfortably!

We have stayed at this house several times now and really love it. Great place for a large family or multiple couples, or some combo of the two. The deck and views are amazing. It's very quiet and relaxing, with enough space to spread out but also nice places to hang out together. Bring binoculars to check out the dolphins in the bay most days.

Communication with the host was excellent!! Finding the property can be a little tricky if its dark but the host was available right away to help us navigate. The property was very clean when we arrived
View was just spectacular
Kitty was super friendly and made it seem like home
Kitchen is an open air kitchen so make sure you put everything away at night. We wiped down the counters every night.

The host, Gus, was exceptional. Obviously a very talented young man. The house and the grounds are a work of art. The location is very tropical and secluded yet near everything. Great views of the bay. Very clean and well kept. Loved the cat. So friendly. Everything works!

This property is absolutely spectacular! In fact, it's probably one of the best rentals I've ever stayed at (and I've stayed at dozens, if not more than 100), given the incredible view, sunsets , and lovely outdoor living spaces. It's also close to interesting attractions and good snorkeling. And, when I left my Kindle at the rental, the host mailed it back to me and was very friendly about it. Initially I thought the cost was a little steep, but I found it to be worth every penny and overall a good value for the beautiful experience provided. Book this place now - you won't regret it!

Spectacular house, nice hosts and amenities. Be prepared to deal with insects while in outdoor areas, as reasonably expected in such a beautiful setting.

Lovely outdoor space

This is a truly unique property with a standout outdoor kitchen and an expansive patio that offers stunning views of the bay — especially at sunset. The location is fantastic, with easy access to snorkeling spots and plenty of opportunities for exploring the surrounding nature. I really appreciated the peaceful setting, the refreshing breeze, and the chance to spend so much time outdoors watching wildlife and soaking in the scenery.The house itself is comfortable and functional, though it does show some signs of wear and has more of a rental property feel compared to others I’ve stayed in. That said, the setting more than makes up for it, and I’d gladly return for the views, outdoor space, and connection to nature.

A slice of paradise...

We spent a week here in early December, and it was truly magical. We appreciated the extensive lanai, outdoor kitchen, and spectacular view. Our host was welcoming and responsive. We found the location to be perfect for exploring snorkeling spots, Volcanoes National Park, and Kona. We would definitely stay here again!

Views, views, views

Gorgeous views from this very quiet, secluded property. We loved the outdoor kitchen, bathroom and all the other outdoor spaces. Our family of 4 had a lot of space to spread out. The area felt very safe and is lush and beautiful.

Excellent all-around!

Our Captain Cook stay was pure bliss! Tucked away from the hustle & bustle, this spacious haven offered 3 separate living areas – perfect for a group getaway. The open kitchen was a chef's dream, & local dining options (15 min drive) were fantastic. Snorkeling at Two Step Beach was the icing on the cake!

Beautiful Pod House Vacation

Our family had an amazing stay at this house on the Big Island. Our party consisted of my husband and myself, our two teenage boys (15 and 16) and my husband's parents who are in their late 60's. The house was in perfect condition when we arrived. We loved cooking breakfast in the outdoor kitchen area and sharing a rainy afternoon spread out across the expansive porch facing the beautiful ocean. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out or meet together. We drove (and walked) to the beach that was just down the hill from the house. I would like to note that the beach that is closest is a rockier beach, but that's what most of this area of the Big Island is. My boys and I loved exploring the rocky shores. There were several little "nooks" that some locals showed us to hang out in. All of it, including the house, was really breathtaking. Communication with the owner/manager was really easy and they were very responsive. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. Mahalo for an incredible stay!

Nana’s alleged swan song

Absolutely beautiful view, loved the outdoor feeling, the geckos, the garden, the sunsets. Outdoor kitchen was fabulous—made cooking magical. Comfortable beds. Worked out great for the five of us. A great place to relax away from the touristy area downtown.

“Best rental house ever”

My teen and tween decided this was “the best rental we’ve ever stayed in.” We loved the outdoor kitchen/dining with the indoor bedrooms. View and location are amazing. You could stay with a larger group and still have privacy due to the layout. Clean, had everything we needed. And we had fun counting lizards.

Beautiful! 5-star with caveat

Property is beautiful - just as described. Directions were perfect, ease of check in and communication were great. Only two downsides - the check in/checkout times of 4:00pm and 10:00a are a little bit of a stretch for those parties (like us) staying just one night. We knew ahead of time and accepted the guidelines, but it’s such a beautiful property, you want to enjoy for as long as possible. The main downside was excavation work being done by a large Caterpillar just 50 feet away. We arrived at around 5:00p, and the noise was constant until 6:00p. We couldn’t enjoy the sound of the ocean and birdsong over the Cat. Someone was there on the lot working until 7:00p, and they returned at 10:00a the next morning, just as we were leaving. Not that the owners can help that, but I would want to know if there was a construction project starting that would be ongoing every day during a stay. But for that, have full confidence that you’ll love the home and set up - plenty of plates, cookware, amenities, etc. Will hopefully stay again, once the next door project is complete!

Lanai Paradise

What a fantastic property. The sunset views were breathtaking every night. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. We spent every waking hour outside, cooking, eating, lounging around the lanai. It was an easy walk down to the local park (Manini Beach) and a harder uphill walk home but not long. Also, no grocery stores or restaurants in easy walking but since we cooked all our own meals that wasn’t a problem. We loved this place!
