- Newly renovated home located at 238 Windsor Ave. Built in 1855 with new open interior. Just 2 blocks to the beach, a few blocks to the mall & close to shops, restaurants and bars.
5 bedrooms (1 King, 2 Queen, 2 full, 4 twin beds) 2 full bath, 1 half bath & 1 outdoor shower. Sit on the rocking chairs on screened-in porch and enjoy the quiet street & horse drawn carriages. So many great improvements that will make your stay so enjoyable!

This house was in the perfect location and accommodated our large group for a bachelorette party! The hosts were super friendly, accommodating, and communicative! We appreciated all the sleeping space and the screened in porch was so lovely. Very grateful we were able to stay!

Aunt Helen’s place offered all the comfort and historic charm we sought in Cape May. Great location, comfortable beds, and large open living space made for a nice stay for kids. The steps are steep to get to the second and third floor so had to use caution with kids and seniors.

Very pleased
We enjoyed Aunt Helen's house so much! We loved the charm, the porch, and especially the neighborhood and being within walking distance of everything.

Girls Trip
This was our first Girls Trip post pandemic. What a great house, location and vacation spot. Despite rains from Hurricane Ian, everything was perfect!!!

Summer 2019
We loved the screened porch. Spent endless hours there. The location is great. Three of the bedrooms are small so this property would not be suitable for people who travel with a lot of luggage but otherwise a great find.

The location was perfect. The kitchen could use some updating. AC upstairs was inadequate. Overall the house met our needs and our Cape May visit was wonderful.

Charming and convenient
Great location! It's walking distance to most things. Though the house is very old (as most there are), it's charming and has everything you need. Better living room sofas would be the only improvement I could suggest. We're thinking of having regular Cape May get-togethers and would happily stay there again!

I stayed at this location with my family of 4 & my sister's family of 5. Our mom came down for 1 day as well. What drew us to this rental was a combo of the location in regards to the beach/promenade/shopping, as well as the amount of space. The kids loved the 3rd floor room as all 4 were able to sleep together. The adults liked the spacious 1st floor dining area/couch space & porch. All of these things were wonderful.The owners were very communicative throughout the process both before arriving, & during, with any questions we had. The beach cart was missing that was listed as available for use. They weren't sure where it had gotten to, but offered 2 different ways to fix it. We did not take them up on either option as my mom came next day & brought hers for us to use, but grateful they offered to fix the problem. There were no major messes/stains, but the floors were very dirty. Once showered, the kids would end up w/ dark, dirty feet from walking around the house. We also chose to keep our clothing in bags bc most drawers had a smell.The last thing we felt was worth commenting on is a very noticeable slant in the kitchen & 2nd floor bedrooms. The King bedroom it's as though you're walking up/downhill. We were also surprised to see that only the 3rd floor bedroom & King bedroom had AC. The other 3 had only fans. We had mild days and cooler evenings so it wasn't a huge problem for us, but we did feel as though that should be mentioned. The neighborhood was very lovely.

Perfect location
Easy check-in and out. Good times (in 2pm, out 10am). Good mattresses! Slept very well. 2 of the built-in a/c units did not work, so window units were in Main bedroom and 3rd Fl. It did not cool adequately on 3rd floor (maybe it is too small for the space?) We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Windsor Ave!!

19th Year on Windsor Avenue
As for any of the plus 160 year old houses, 238 Windsor Ave has its own unique charm. It was great for our family! Lots of room on the first floor to move around while the kids played with everything they brought. (Smiley Face)
Everything was clean and just as we expected after getting quick answers to questions from the hosts. While with any older home there were a few minor adjustments to be made but our stay was an overwhelming success!! The updated bathrooms were a great help for this trip. If you forgot any beach needs or bikes, this house had them for you.
It's was also fun to get to know our neighbors during our stay and great for the kids. One of the grandchildren was so sad to leave he kept locking us out of the house while we were packing the cars.
Thank you Jay & Beth for being great responsive hosts and a wonderful stay!

Great location!!
We stayed with friends and family for a fall wedding! Jay and Beth were WONDERFUL hosts and communication couldn’t have been better. Our only concern was the crookedness within the house. The floors were a bit of hazard at night especially in the master front bedroom. For those sensitive to motion sickness I wouldn’t recommend. We understand the houses are historical and we do love their Old Cape May character. This is just a minor note we wanted to comment on for future guests to be aware of.
The bikes were the BEST addition. We were able to walk and bike everywhere and it was just the best!!

Cape May August 2019
We had a great vacation. The house is very nice, combining the charm of a historic Cape May home with updated cool. I loved the large kitchen, and the open living room/dining room was so welcoming. The location is excellent: a couple blocks to the beach, shopping, and food. Beth was a wonderful host and went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed out stay. My family will definitely return in the future.

Great house in perfect Cape May location
The house was exactly as shown in the photos and very clean upon arrival. House was perfect for our family vacation - only blocks from beach, shopping and restaurants. This was our first visit to Cape May and definitely will be a repeater!

Great summer getaway
While staying at this property we had a great time. Jay and Beth were quickly available to answer questions anytime I emailed them. This house is close to everything and the perfect peaceful beach vacation.

Great beach house
This is a great, roomy, clean, comfortable house. Living space is good for a group and the house is well equipped. There are no closets in the bedrooms but there is a walk in closet in the hallway which was more than enough room for clothes and suitcase storage. The owner is super helpful and responsive. Location is good - close to beach and the Washington street mall. Quiet neighborhood. Would definitely rent this house again.

Our Favorite
Cape May is our favorite getaway destination and Aunt Helen’s House is our favorite place to stay. Prime location to Congress Hall, Washington Street Mall and only 2.5 blocks from the boardwalk and the beach. You can’t beat the screened-in porch and beautifully updated living area.

Cape May Gem!
"Aunt Helen's House" is truly the PERFECT Cape May home!!! It's cleanliness, adorable decor, spacious rooms, and cute character all add to the charm of this ideal location. Best part is we parked our car and walked to everywhere! Beth was the sweetest host and was not only readily available to answer any questions we had prior to our stay, but also provided us with the greatest little itinerary (with the best suggestions!) for our girls' getaway weekend! Aunt Helen's House is really a home away from home. and one we look forward to visiting again soon!
