My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming bungalow near Cape May, NJ, on the Delaware Bay. The host was incredibly friendly and communicative, always eager to assist us and ensure our stay was enjoyable.
The bungalow provided a comfortable retreat for us. We especially loved listening to the soothing sound of the waves, which was particularly delightful during high tide.
One night, a storm rolled through, and the intensified sounds of the waves made for a cozy and memorable experience.
While the kitchen is small and somewhat older, it met our needs adequately. We brought in food one night and enjoyed a meal at a local restaurant the next. The provided beach tags allowed us to visit Stone Harbor beach. We also ventured into Cape May and had a wonderful time scaling the lighthouse.
The property's location offers a perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. It is remote enough to feel like a getaway, yet close enough to a variety of attractions. The private beach (at high tide) right in front of the property is small and there is foot traffic. Also, the adjacent lot was a popular gathering spot during the day and evening for neighbors from across the street and down the road. While they were friendly, their presence so close to the property and the screened-in porch diminished the sense of privacy.
Overall, our stay was relaxing, and we appreciated the serene and picturesque setting of the bungalow.
