Disappointed with management
I booked a last minute getaway for New Year’s Eve. We just wanted to get away from PA. for a couple days. 4 nights to be specific. I found this home managed by Roelens vacation on VRBO. My only search filter (other than southern Florida) , was a heated pool. It is something that I really enjoy. I was knowingly willing to pay more for it in January. We were met by a lovely associate (Evie). She was great. Called us early to find our ETA. Met us at property and answered all of our questions. She gave me a card for her supervisor Charlene if we had problems Let me say that the home was beautiful. Impeccably clean. Very safe neighborhood. I have never seen a home more stocked with anything thing we needed. Really above and beyond. I have nothing but the highest regard for the owner or cleaning crew. My problem was the pool heater was broken. I tried to reach out to Charlene. No answer, voicemail. She left a message stating she was on vacation and to call her supervisor Monica. Again, no answer just voicemail…. Back to Charlene…. My point is. Someone needs to be available. It could have been a break in, electrical fire, broken fridge. She did reach out to owner who scheduled a maintenance call. A broken line in unit and not working at all. Didn’t get fixed till the night before we left. Things break. I get it. Owner didn’t know and immediately got on it. I was bummed about cold pool,. It was the lack of a person to talk to , that bothered me. I paid good money for that house. No I wasn’t a monthly tenant, but I shouldn’t be treated any differently. It was New Year’s Eve, you were on vacation,.. no excuse when your in the hospitality business. Availability is everything. My 2 cents……
