Definitely NOT 5 bedrooms!

The positives - spacious, plenty of options for dining indoor and outdoor, well maintained pool, good location in nice neighborhood, kayaks/bikes/pool accessories/floaties all available in garage The negatives - The home is dated, as is the furniture (the couch could swallow you whole!). Outdoor furniture is rusty and there was some metal construction debris on the covered patio that could have caused real injuries. I know Ian cleanup is ongoing even this many months later, but we didn't imagine that it wouldn’t be safe to be barefoot on the covered patio poolside. We also struggled to find a broom so we could sweep up after meals. I dug one out of the garage but the dustpan was filthy and the broom was flimsy. They did offer a fresh, sealed sponge which we used to keep counters/table clean. About the management company - they are cheap cheap cheap with offering general supplies. For an 8 day stay there were 2 dishwasher tabs provided, 4 rolls of 1-ply! toilet paper total - one in use and one backup per bathroom - for 10 guests, 1 roll of paper towel, no wrap/foil/baggies of any kind provided, and only 2 laundry tabs which I guess are allocated for the towels you are expected to wash upon checkout. Our biggest issue - there are definitely NOT 5 bedrooms. This is a 3 bed home with a den and an open loft. One "bedroom" centrally located on the first floor has no closet And offers a pullout sofa that was so uncomfortable that we purchased an air mattress. The loft, which is also marketed as a bedroom, offers ZERO noise containment or privacy (aside from an ill-fitting curtain that makes no sense as it is way too short and only wide enough to cover about 25% of the exposed area up there). We stuck a kid up there because it made the most sense in our situation but that meant that we could not gather in the evening in the living space and with the pool screen gone, moving outdoor wasn't a great option either. Final verdict - the place has potential but just isn't going to work for us for our annual trips to the area to visit family.

Great location

Nice home, great location. Chairs in kitchen need to be replaced, one was broken and was mentioned in a previous review and still had not been replaced. Beds good, cleanliness needs a little more work especially floors and blinds. As much as the cleaning fee is it should be cleaner.

Enjoyable but…

House was perfect for our group of 6 adults. We used all 3 bedrooms and the loft bedroom. It shouldn’t be advertised as 5 bedrooms as what was considered a bedroom was actually a room used as a seating area with a couch and chairs. No closet or dresser. The family room had no ceiling lights nor any lamps. Could not read in the evening. My bedroom had no bedside lamp to be able to read at night. One lamp on dresser with a low wattage bulb. Large oversized seating in family room that had no support( you literally sunk in the cushions. Found throw pillows stuffed under cushions as someone must have tried achieving some support while seated. Kitchen spacious and fully functional. I had inquired about lunge chairs by pool and was told there were plenty. There was one chaise lounge only. Plenty of tables and chairs in lanai area, but the outdoor dining chairs were shredding and had indents from others sitting. Turned on outdoor fan which started to smoke and shake, then blew a fuse so could not utilize any of the 3 outdoor fans. Sent message via Vrbo regarding this with no response. Our group enjoyed our time despite these concerns.

Villa Delight

The pool area is where we spent most of our time when we were at the house during the day. At night the pool got to cold to stay in for to long at night. Beds were uncomfortable, only 1 spare set of bed sheets which got used for the hide away bed, 2 rolls of TP per bathroom is way under the amount that should be provided, one garbage bag is less than ideal, doesn’t look like the water around the dock gets taken care of as there was lots of visible trash, internet was spotty, only streaming apps available on the TVs which would stop working because of the internet, ice maker in the fridge didn’t work properly, living room furniture is uncomfortable. These are all small items, but did create irritating situations like running back out to the store for more TP and trash bags.

Enjoyable Vacation Property

This home is in an excellent, well kept residential neighborhood. Close to major shopping retailers and restaurants of all price ranges. Very nice heated swimming pool with plenty of outdoor seating and pleasant view of the canal. Bedding and linens were a little dated but serviceable. Overall a very comfortable vacation property.

Ft Myers Trip

Stayed at property for a baseball tournament in the area. Layout of the house and pool were great. All beds/bedrooms were as listed. Pool was great for the kids. Canal is nice to sit outside at. Some cabinets and other areas are a little dated and could use some repair but otherwise house was great for a week long stay. Local restaurants and stores close by.

Coral Beach-Delightful Villa

We were disappointed in property. It was not up to the usual standard that we have experienced with Vrbo. Furniture was outdated and uncomfortable. The island in the kitchen was coming apart around the bottom. My daughter had to clean the bathroom before it could be used. The sliding door to the patio only hooked but couldn't lock and there was a one inch gap. The carpet on the stairs was disgusting. No way would I go without shoes. These may sound like small issues but put them all together and it was annoying.

Couples getaway

Nice large home with pool. Worked well for our group. (4 senior couples), That being said, the property needs some attention. Kitchen cabinets need replacing. Interior doors need to be fixed. One bed needs replacing. Pool area needs needs some cleaning. Outdoor furniture needs replacing. Just lots of minor repairs required but nothing that would prevent our group from having a nice week.

Nice house

The pool area is very nice. Both tvs in the queen bedrooms on the main floor were broken. There seemed to be missing chairs from the kitchen and dining room. The bedroom with the pull out couch is tiny. Beside that, it is a great house and I would recommend.

Disappointed.

Had to contact rental company to get response from property manager. All on line service requests were ignored. Finally fixed the 2 critical issues. But there is a list we gave as well as left on site.

We loved staying at Villa Delightful.

The listing is accurate and the House and Pool is beautiful. The House is spacious and had everything we needed for our one week vacation stay. We definitely would come back on vacation here. The Area and Beaches were very nice and we loved eating the good Seafood.

Family vacation

This is a great place for larger families. Nice quiet neighborhood and gate around pool was helpful with little ones. We were given incorrect code for front door so I called and they answered immediately and gave us correct code. Pool was nice and warm and we used kayak in canal a few times. If I had to change one thing it would be kitchen faucet, sprays water where don’t want it. Unfortunately we cut our trip short as some family members canceled due to COVID19 fears and we thought best to get home. But the time we spent was perfect in warm sunny Florida!

Cape Coral vacation

The house was very nice, the furniture was not very comfortable, but we were still happy. The beds need new mattresses. The pool was GREAT! The property managers were very fast responding to the couple of glitches we had!

Change of plans

My family had originally intended on staying near Orlando to enjoy Universal and all of the tourist attractions. Shortly before our schedule stay, we got word that the house was going to be unavailable. In a mad dash to find lodging, we came across this house. The house is beautiful. It is a bit dated, as the furnishings and such are a bit dark. But overall, the house fully accommodated my family. The views were incredible, as the canal runs right behind he house. And the pool is well cared for. The only complaint I have is that there are a massive amount of light switches. Trying to figure out which switch turned on which light was something my family and I laughed about the entire trip. By the end of the stay, though, we had it figured out. Another thing is dish storage. I would recommended stopping at a store and picking up some containers, if you plan on using the fridge. The nice thing about staying in a house instead of a hotel is the amount of money you save in dining out. We cooked everyday, but saving or storing food items was very limited. Also, the master bedroom gets very warm, even with the air running. We like it pretty chilly when we sleep. The other rooms didn’t seem to be a problem. I think the layout plays a big part. It’s very open when you come into the house, but the rooms are sectioned off, preventing air flow. The master bathroom also has some issues with the shower getting hot. After messing with the controls, I found that turning it right gets hot water and left is cold. Opposite of normal placement. Overall, we had a great stay. I would highly recommend getting out and enjoying the area. We went to Lobster Lady on a Tuesday for crab legs and it was delicious. We also played miniature golf. We had a great time!!
