Not what I was anticipating, the host doesn’t provide details for the stay until the day of your arrival, so our first day there, we were expected to take out someone else’s garbage, which we missed, the cans were full and smelled quite rough at that point. Also buried in the instructions was that there is a 35 dollar a day fee to heat the pool, which wasn’t listed in the ad at the time and is now. The heat wasn’t need, but one would think an hour of spa “hot tub” use would be included, not that it mattered as that did not work the first 5 days. Finally we received two unannounced visits from a pool person and it was finally working so we used it. The owners didn’t contact us and say we charged for the use of the spa, they shut off all of the pool equipment and didn’t respond to the request until that night. At this point we had one more day and I was not paying for anything else. The water in the showers is too hot, I couldn’t comfortably take a shower, my daughter had to have a bath run and wait an hour to get in, there was no warm or cool setting just hot, excessively hot. When asked about, the host said maintenance would look into it, no one ever showed up to do so, this was mentioned immediately. There were two basically empty propane tanks for the grill. Since they operate this remotely and are not there to pay attention, there is excessive amount of security items there, I am not an expert on ring equipment, but it was well beyond a level of intrusion that I was willing to be tolerant of, they have no mention of this equipment, an no right to intrude into your vacation to this extent! The house is accessible to lots of regions, but the security is probably due to where the house is situated in an established neighborhood, that has a very strong long term rental presence. Overall, overpriced, the home is decent, the kitchen is nice, but ran by an absentee owner that isn’t on top of things, lot better options available at this price range in much more desirable locations.
