My family had a wonderful stay at The Strand! The home was clean and comfortable. We loved all the amenities such as the pool table and ping pong table. We wished we had more time to use the golf carts but such a nice bonus to have included in the home. We walked down to the beach every night to watch the sunset and the views from the third floor are nice. Hope to return again when the weather is warm to use the other amenities included in your home. Thank you again!

The house was absolutely amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. It was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had all the amenities we needed and more. The hosts were extremely prompt in responding to any questions we had, and their communication made the entire experience seamless. Truly a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend!

A perfect beach house for our group of nine, with a bunch of little kids. We loved having the golf carts included with our stay, and the house is super well stocked with beach gear, toys and games. The host was very responsive to a couple of maintenance requests. My only critique is that the cleaners could have been more thorough.

A Perfect Cape Charles Getaway!

Our stay at The Strand was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the thoughtful amenities and spacious layout. The home is beautifully renovated and comfortably accommodated our group with room to spare. Each bedroom was cozy and well-appointed, and the master suite felt like a private retreat.The kitchen was a dream—modern, fully stocked, and perfect for cooking meals together. The multiple decks offered peaceful spots to relax, and the crow’s nest was a favorite hangout with its wet bar and views (especially sunsets) of the Chesapeake Bay.The golf carts and paddle boards were a huge hit and made exploring Cape Charles so much fun. We enjoyed the nearby beach, local shops, and restaurants—all just a short ride away. The community pool was also a great bonus.The hosts thought of everything—from beach gear to indoor games like pool and shuffleboard. It truly felt like a luxury home away from home. We’re already planning our next visit and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Cape Charles. Highly recommend The Strand for families or groups looking for a relaxing and fun-filled vacation!

Family getaway

Our stay was really enjoyable from the house convenient location to the activities in the house. While we spent most of the time at the beach, pool, or riding around in golf carts, we also enjoyed hanging out and playing pool and even doing puzzles at the house. Overall a great vacation we loved being in town but also within bay creek community.

Cape Charles Vacation

One of the best VRBOs that we’ve ever stayed at. Clean, spacious with great outdoor spaces, very convenient to the Cape Charles downtown & public beaches and just one and a half blocks from the private beach. There was plenty of things to occupy my husband and me as well as 3 teenage boys. Rich and Stephanie were super quick to provide helpful responses to any questions. You can really feel that they care about their property and want their guests to feel comfortable, relax and enjoy themselves. Definitely would stay here again. Perfect property with lots of bonuses

Had a great time at the strand. Property was immaculate and as advertised. The included golf carts are a huge bonus and it’s nice to not have a hidden $650 “host fee” like most other properties on here. Will be back for sure.

Family Vacation

Location was just a short cart ride from town beaches and town. The home was very clean and in good repair. We enjoyed having the pool table and shuffleboard on the same level as kitchen / dining area so that we could all hanging out together while some were cooking, etc. There were enough spaces to allow someone to find a quiet area for reading or down time. Owner was very responsive to questions. Highly recommend!

August in Cape Charles

We had a sunny week in Cape Charles. We had two families stay in the house and it was plenty of space. Everything in the house matched the listing. Having access to the Bay creek HOA pool was really nice for some of the super hot days. Golf carts were great and we loved the stand up paddle boards. We loved taking them to the beach for a sunset paddle. We look forward to returning!

Beautiful home in gated community

Wonderful place and location with many accommodations. So easy with the kids to not have to pack chairs or rent golf carts. Beds were very comfortable! Loved having the private beach option and paddle boards. Owners were so kind and responsive.

Can't wait to stay again

We had such a great time at "The Strand." The golf carts, pool table, shuffle board table, ping pong table, grill, beach chairs and umbrellas were all a hit which we made use of. Cute modern neighborhood. Walking distance to quiet private beach, quick golf cart ride to "downtown." Even just sitting one of the three decks to watch the stars, sunrise, or sunset was quiet and nice. Host was easy to contact. Clean when we arrived. Stayed for a jack and jill with 10 people which it fit comfortably. Everyone had so much fun; the VRBO was a massive hit/success. Would absolutely stay again in a heartbeat. We had such a great time; the location will leave a major positive imprint on the wedding party.

Great Vacation

Great vacation! So many things we liked. Two top of the line 6 person golf carts. Not all rental properties include this “perk”. Shuffle board. Ping Pong. Beach toys, chairs, paddle boards. Top Floor space. Good get away. We had two people in our party that needed to take business calls and computer communication. Access to seating, sink and refrigerator. Best experience with brand new owners! Rich and Stephanie. Very responsive. Not only did they respond quickly to needs during our stay, they welcomed all comments and suggestions. I have no doubt their end goal is to provide the best vacation experience to all their guests. Being brand new owners, they are learning little things mean a lot to their guests. I have no doubt they are already being proactive in making changes in order to enhance the experience of vacation guests.
