    This home is only available on a weekly basis during the prime season.

    This vacation home is located on the BEST BEACH on the Eastern Shore

    Plenty of room and privacy in this extra-large luxury home in the desirable Bay Ridge community, steps from the best private beach on the Eastern Shore.

    • Enjoy the Bay Ridge community, with private pool, covered picnic area and tennis courts.
    Most of our properties have 4 to 7 night minimums stays during peak season (June 18 to September 9). If you have a special need, don't hesitate to contact us.
    This beachfront home is waiting for a large family to enjoy the 5 bedrooms plus Den, 5.5 baths, spacious entertaining area and a large gourmet kitchen. In addition, enjoy the expansive decks and screened in porch with views to the Bay. Walk to the end of the driveway and see the boardwalk leading to the communities private beach. Walk to the end of the block and enjoy the community pool. Take advantage of 2 convenient outdoor enclosed showers to shake the sand or chlorine off before entering the home.
    Security cameras are installed, view of driveway, view of backyard and view off of upper deck (all cameras point away from the house). Ring camera installed at front door.

Excellent property!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house. we found it just as advertised and loved the wonderful beach access. Lots of room inside and out. Excellent location! Would love to stay there again.

Perfect

This is the second time our family has stayed at this property, and we are thrilled. The location can't be beat, the layout of the house is absolutely perfect for multiple families and cousins, and the hosts are communicative and helpful. We can't wait to come back!

We stayed here for a few days as part of a bigger group that stayed nearby in the community. The house is private and tucked away in a wooded area. The house has a nice layout and a common area with a big sectional off the kitchen. The bedrooms are spacious with nice mattresses. A short walk down a path takes you the beach. It was perfect for our group!

Family vacation to celebrate a milestone birthday

The property was beautiful and exactly how it was advertised. The bay was private and beautiful. The pool was also clean and enticing. Plenty of room for all my kids their spouses and my grandson and the doggies!

Great family getaway

House was large and comfortable. We enjoyed the en-suite bathrooms. Made great use of the large living room, dining area and screened in porch. Really enjoyed the pool. Easy walk to private beach with spectacular sunsets.

This was an end of the Summer family vacation. First time on the eastern shore. House was great, in a great location. Probably the best stocked house that we had stayed from kitchen appliances and utensils to beach chairs and floats. Looking forward to going back

Our stay in Port Charles, VA

Despite some rough weather, we all had a great time. The house is beautiful with great views and only a short walk to the beach or a private pool. Our grandchildren loved it as did the adults. When weather dictated indoors activities, we went to the very friendly town of Port Charles or to the aquarium in Norfolk. We would definitely go again.

Our Stay

We were very pleased with the size of the house. Our large family was comfortable and we were able to enjoy activities together or go off by ourselves too. Just a couple of items: slow drainage in one shower downstairs, very dirty grill on deck, and the sink in island didn’t work. But no big issues and the private beach and pool were wonderful.

Beautiful Spacious Home with Lots of Space

My family and I can't stop talking about this house and how much we enjoyed waking up together and celebrating Thanksgiving! This house had everything we wanted and needed to get our mini vacation started. We cooked, ate, watched football, and strolled along the beach to burn off calories😁 We highly recommend this home for large families who need lots of bathrooms and require a walk along a secluded, private beach. PS, the owner is kind and accommodating. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay. You WILL see us again!

Lovely home on a private beach

We loved the private beach and easy access. The kids loved the pool and tennis courts. It was a big bonus to have a private bath for each bedroom, plus a powder room & the outside showers. Loved that we could all fit at the dining room table. Favorite reading spaces were the screened porch & nook off the main living area. We didn't have any internet issues, but had trouble getting/making calls.

We had such a great time here for a large family gathering. The house was very clean and well equipped and perfect for our party of 11. The beach is just a short walk away. Great communication too with the owner to help us get in when I deleted the welcome email by mistake!

Great place! Beautiful quiet beach.

Our family appreciates the small town atmosphere of Cape Charles and the Bay Dunes community provides comfortable beach rental accommodations for the whole family. The house was perfect, it had everything we needed and even included fun water floats and toys for use on the beach and nearby community pool. The house was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the wooded setting and saw lots of wildlife. We rented kayaks and we’re very happy with the service. Pickup and drop off made it a very simple process. Our rental agent was kind and helpful and responded promptly when contacted. A great place, highly recommend!

Gorgeous, Private Vacation

This property was absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. A great layout for 3 families with kids ranging ages 5-17. Plenty of privacy both in and around the house. A short and easy walk to a private beach - we saw very few people all week. Low tide allowed for hours of safe, fun play in the bay for the kids. The drive to the grocery store and downtown was 10-15 min and very easy. We went to the grocery store several times and didn’t lose a lot of vacation time. Lots of fun beach toys and beach chairs were available in the garage. The two dishwashers was a HUGE help and the common spaces were fantastic for gathering. We loved hearing birds sing and waves at the same time while on the porch. We are hoping to stay again!

Week at Cape Charles

House was great overall. A/C was out on the main upstairs floor. We were credited 50% for the inconvenience. Hoevever, It did affect the overall time by all.

Nice, big house but no access from garage to upstairs. No brochures showing restaurants, shops, etc. NO DECK FURNITURE ON FIRST LEVEL. NO TABLE W UMBRELLA ON TOP DECK. LACK OF BATH MATS . I took one out of closet. NEEDS A GOOD SWEEPING ON STEPS OUTSIDE & DECK

Quiet, comfortable retreat

We had a really lovely time at this property. Very spacious living area and bedrooms, extremely well-equipped kitchen, comfortable and attractive furniture, lovely view of trees out the back (and a slice of the water through the greenery). long and inviting dining room table--room for lots of extended family. Only suggestion would be to swap out one or two of the TVs and add small desks to some of the downstairs bedrooms--for those folks who have to do a bit of remote work...Other than that, this place has it all!

Change of Scenery

We had a wonderful time at the property. The house was much larger than the photos looked and there was more than enough space for the entire family. The walk to the beach was easy and super private. The beach was also much larger than expected and perfect for our young kids to run wild and crazy. The sunsets were spectacular from the beach. Its hard to see the beach and the sunsets from the house because there is so many trees and vegetation but we liked that because it was so private. Thank you again for sharing your home with us!
