At first glance, you can tell that Villa Molino de Son Moll is a truly extraordinary house. The Ibizan white-painted house with turquoise-coloured shutters even has, as the name suggests, an old windmill tower, which also reveals its original purpose as an agricultural property. True to its Mallorcan tradition, the charming townhouse is surrounded by some lovely little details that we would like to share with you: for example, the private, kidney-shaped pool (although the sea is just a stone's throw away), which is integrated into the lawn and terrace. After a swim, you can shower off outside before relaxing on one of the sun loungers provided or curling up with your latest favourite book. This is particularly pleasant among palm trees, cypresses, carob trees and other typical Mediterranean plants. The cool roof terrace is not just a place to sit back and relax while looking out over the illuminated resort at night. The outdoor dining area and the Arabian-style lounge zone, both covered, are certainly no less appealing: half surrounded by walls, half covered by an awning or sheets blowing in the gentle breeze. Despite the undoubtedly urban location in the middle of a residential neighbourhood, you can still enjoy your privacy in a pleasant environment that, above all, provides an immediate feeling of relaxation.
It's no surprise that the interior has exactly the same character. A touch of nostalgia wafts through the house, complete with beautiful, traditional tiles with arabesque patterns reminiscent of Art Nouveau. These not only cover the floor in the cosy living room with beige sofa set and efficient pellet stove, but also in the trendy dining room, the bedrooms and the kitchen with access to the terrace. The fitted kitchenette has all the technical amenities you need to make self-catering on holiday easier. The adjoining, rustic kitchen has a cast-iron hob with soapstone sink. This area and the partially rounded roofs are charmingly reminiscent of the old windmill, enhanced by gleaming white walls and honey-coloured, cottage-like wooden doors and other decorative elements in a wonderfully rustic-modern style. Two of the bedrooms are furnished with a queen-size double bed and a wall-mounted television. The third bedroom with two single beds (and no TV) is therefore perfect for younger guests. Two incredibly chic bathrooms with walk-in showers and modern design offer outstanding comfort for your small group. And that is the focus of this unique home, which has been lovingly realised for its guests - something we hope you will soon experience for yourself.
When choosing a holiday home, it is of course not only the style that matters, but also your preferences for the surroundings. If you primarily want to stay in a traditional Mallorcan house, then this is the one for you. If you like being close to the beach and being able to stroll along the promenade to the resort at any time of day, then this is certainly for you too. Walks, short hikes to great viewpoints and a shopping spree are all made possible by the fantastic location of Molino de Son Moll. Breakfast with a sea view, tapas by candlelight and a glass of hierbas in the sea at sunset are not fanciful wishes, but can be realised in quality restaurants. In summer you can expect plenty of variety with a tempting evening entertainment programme (if you wish), while in winter it is pleasantly quiet and beautiful here. The extraordinary Villa Molina de Son Moll is a piece of Mallorcan tradition and is located between the villa suburb of Sa Pedruscada and Cala Ratjada, both small artist towns in the east are within walking distance. You can walk to the Platja de son Moll beach, just 150 m away, and from there stroll along the promenade directly into the lively holiday resort and enjoy its urban character. Other sandy beaches are just a short drive away.
