Quiet and relaxing after days of touring

Only 6 units so very quiet. Only problem was unreliability of internet at times. Pool was well kept with lots of seating and shade covers. Roadway was a bit of a challenge to drive but we got proficient at driving it. Wished we had discovered little pizza restaurant earlier. It was on main road at bottom of driveway and called “Pizzeria Orlandi”. Be sure to have translator app as menu only in Italian!

Schöne, kleine saubere Anlage, ideal für Familien

Wir (Familie mit zwei Kindern, 13 und 6 Jahre) waren 10 Tage in der Casa Pinnocchio und haben uns alle vier sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Appartement war sehr sauber und mit allem Wesentlichen ausgestattet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Komfort von zwei Badezimmern. Den schönen Pool haben wir sehr genossen. Lucca ist nur etwa 25 min entfernt und viele weitere sehenswerte Orte der Toskana ausflugsmäßig gut zu erreichen.

Tolles Appartement in wundervoller Lage

Das Appartement ist wunderschön eingerichtet und in einer tollen, umfassend modernisierten Villa. Zu dem schönen Anwesen gehört auch ein großer Pool. Absolut empfehlenswertes Objekt. Die Lage ist toll zwischen Olivenhainen in den Hügeln bei Lucca. Der Gastgeber Jim hilft gerne und gibt Tipps für Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ein Ort der Ruhe & Entspannung

Wir waren mit unseren Kindern (3 & 6) knapp 2 Wochen in der Casa Pinocchio. Sie ist sehr schön eingerichtet, sauber und hat an der Seite einen privaten Sitzbereich - mit Kindern fanden wir das angenehm. Andere Wohnungen haben die Tische unter den Olivenbäumen, dort ist man dann näher an den Nachbarn dran. Die Kinder konnten so hinter dem Haus rennen, ohne jemanden zu stören. Der Pool ist traumhaft, die ganze Anlage sehr gepflegt. Jim hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und ist für die Gäste immer gut erreichbar. Wir haben uns alle rundum wohl gefühlt und würden sofort wieder hinfahren. Mit einem tiefer gelegten Fahrzeug könnte die Zufahrt etwas heikel werden. Bevor der Schotter beginnt, hat der Teer einige „Hügelpassagen“. Das ist noch eine öffentliche Straße.... Den Schotterweg selbst hält Jim gut in Schuss. Mit unserem normalen Kombi war das alles aber kein Problem und sollte niemanden vom il Borghetto fernhalten. Es ist ein ganz besonderer Ort.

Veelzijdige plek

De woning is comfortabel en compleet, bijvoorbeeld in de keuken. Mooie wandelmogelijkheden. Ook om te eten, richting start van de weg zijn de pizza’s goed of een osteria de heuvel op. Met de auto zijn de mogelijkheden enorm. En je bent zo in Lucca! Wij vonden room 1 fijn aangezien deze een eigen buiten plek heeft met privacy en voldoende schaduw Dank Jim!

Sommerurlaub Casa Pinocchio Juli/August 209

Wir (Familie mit zwei Kindern, 14 und 17 Jahre) haben eine traumhafte Woche in der Casa Pinocchio in Il Borghetto di San Gennaro verbracht. Dieses Objekt können wir ohne jede Einschränkung weiterempfehlen. Alles entspricht genau der Beschreibung, auch Waschmittel, Grillkohle, Sonnenschirme und Luftmatratzen für den Pool sind vorhanden. Der Gastgeber Jim und seine Frau Debbie sind außerordentlich freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wir waren alle begeistert über den herzlichen Empfang. Florenz, Lucca und Pisa sind leicht zu erreichen. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

A Hidden Gem !

We have just returned yesterday from a wonderfully relaxing 10 day stay in Il Borghetto, and cannot praise it enough. The ride up the track made us realise just how hidden it was, but was well worth it. We arrived in a thunder storm, but Jim was ready with umbrellas and a wonderful welcome for us. The storm passed quickly and warm weather resumed for the rest of our stay. The cosy, clean apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and was just what 2 work weary couples needed to re-charge our batteries! The house has been beautifully renovated, and is a credit to Jim, who obviously put his heart into turning a very run down, but lovely old house back into somewhere that is very much loved and tasteful. The pool was a very welcome addition with great views up towards the tiny village, which is an easy 20 minute walk up from the house. It was lovely to wander round on the Sunday as there were some craft stalls heading up towards the church, and we had a good meal in the very pretty garden at the back of the cafe/bar ( drinks only at the front in the covered area) It's a great base to explore from, Lucca is a great to spend a day, as is the old town in Pistoia, Montecarlo is tiny quaint village worth visiting for a good meal and beautiful views, and if you want to see the hillside villages of the Cinque Terre, for a better experience than the train we suggest you go by boat from Port Venere. Jim is a lovely man and the 'font of all knowledge' regarding places to go and couldn't have been more helpful, with information for us when we said where we were thinking of going and also with booking a table at a family run restaurant nearby, so a big "thank you" for making our stay even better. If its a tranquil hideaway you're after, then this is it! Thank you Jim, from your very chilled out guests Sue, Kev, Julie and Bernard

Il Borghetto is a wonderful place!

We had a great week in Casa Pinocchio and found it very comfortable and well equipped. The property is very peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Our three year old had great fun in the garden; it was too cold to go in the pool but we could imagine it would be fantastic in warmer months. Jim was a great host and was very helpful both before and during our stay promptly answering any questions we had via email and giving tips for the local area. We would definitely recommend a stay at Il Borghetto!

Sehr geschmackvolle Einrichtung, sauber, tolle Anlage!

Ruhig und wunderschön! Alles sehr sauber, gepflegt und mit viel Liebe gestaltet. Jim ist sehr zuvorkommend und äußerst bemüht. Der Weg zur Anlage ist leider etwas holprig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Il Borghetto was even better than the pictures!

We had a fantastic stay of 10 nights with our two teenage children. The property was very clean and very well maintained. Jim the owner couldn't have been more helpful to us from the moment when we booked online to the time of our stay giving us great advice and tips of places to go. Jim's efforts made our first visit to Italy as a family really easy. Great pool to cool off in after a day sight seeing or just to relax and take in the view. We would definitely recommend this property. Thanks Jim for letting us enjoy your beautiful property.
