In short, this place is perfect for a short getaway and the location on the lake is fantastic! The walk down (or up) to the lake from the house is steep. WEAR WATER SHOES! It will save your feet from all the rocks and the sticker burrs all over the place.
Otherwise the place is basic. There are hotel-size soaps, but otherwise you really do have to provide just about everything for yourself. The main house next door is nice, and we had great neighbors but I could see how clashing personalities/vacation plans could interrupt the ambiance or make things difficult. The TV is more complicated than calculus, and the wifi is good (but it's extended from the main house, so the bandwidth gets interrupted regularly), the oven is crazy small but works fine.
We got this place as a change of scenery during Covid, so a lot was closed. I'm not sure what all there is to do other than tubing the rivers, which are not far down the road. We did rent jetskis from the marina down the road and it was so fun. There's a natural grotto on the lake where you can jump into the lake which is also great, but only accessible by boat.
