Beach House stay
We very much enjoyed our Beach House stay. The host was highly responsive to our needs, although there were only a couple of asks, both were responded to quickly. The house itself suited our family of four and a small dog very well. The location was great and literally one minute walk to the beach. Our only complaint was something beyond the hosts' control. The house was/is basically surrounded by construction work, renovations on other houses in the area. During our week we were subjected to virtually non-stop hammering or drilling or sawing or grinding or back-up beeping from construction equipment and/or fumes from organic materials being applied to ductwork. The immediate neighbor had a guy working by torchlight as late as 10pm on a couple of nights. Clearly this was suboptimal and made hanging out at the house a less viable option. To be fair we didn't come to Cannon Beach to hang out at our rental, but there were occasions when one wanted to just relax on the little front deck but were chased off by noisy, or smelly construction activities. This is why I cannot honestly give this property a 5-star overall rating; even though I gave the specific aspects about the house such as cleanliness, host, location etc. 5-star ratings.
