Our group of 3 couples had a great stay. The space is very cool. It’s basically two large rooms, a game/entertainment room, and a great room with kitchen, dining area, and tv. All the bedrooms are immediately off of the great room, so if you think you can sneak away for some romance or need to have an argument, it will not be a secret. But for us 6, there was plenty of room, and night owls could have fun in the game room without disturbing those who went to bed earlier.
The space seems to be the top floor of an old barn. The bottom is storage used by the owners. The owner’s house is close by, but we only saw them a handful of times in passing. They really respected our space but were happy to offer suggestions of things to do. Max the dog, a beautiful and sweet Lassie-type dog; however, was happy to hang out us. But after some pets and greetings he usually got bored and ran off.
The surrounding property is beautiful. I have stayed in the Asheville area numerous times, and I think this property and the scenery along the road and driveway are some of the prettiest I have seen in the area.
There is a nice Ingles close by, and Asheville is about 20 minutes away. We stayed three nights, and everyone wished we had one or two more nights to take more advantage of the hot tub, fire pit, and game room.
