We really enjoyed our stay. Roberto, the property manager and host, was friendly, helpful and clear with directions/suggestions for places to explore in the area. We appreciated Los Abuelos Campastre restaurant nearby (amazing traditional food), Soriana marketplace just across the road from the hotel (where we could buy food to make breakfast at Villa Sofia and then enjoy it on the premises by the swimming pool), the proximity of bus stations that take you to Playa Delphines (one of the most beautiful beaches) and Puerto Juarez (ferry to Isla Mujeres/Cozumel).
We reserved the deluxe room with a large balcony - it was cozy and beautiful, has been cleaned regularly, and most importantly, the bed was very comfortable. The only issue was the loud noises coming from the entertainment park located close to the hotel (people taking rides on rollercoasters were screaming loudly past midnight), so it wasn't possible to sleep with windows open. The room had the AC with temperature control and the noise was not very loud with windows closed (this could only be a problem for the sensitive ears).
