"We felt like we were alone in the jungle, full kitchen very nice bathroom separated from the bedroom. The bedroom does not have glass windows one night was a little bit warm, so please take that into consideration but overall we loved the concept. Keep in mind there's also a huge construction boom in Costa Rica so there is some street noise, can't see it, but sometimes you can hear it"

"Our stay at Madreselva was magical. Carolina took care of us like we were family. The house had plenty of room for our group of 9. We were concerned about there not being air conditioning since we are from TX but it wasn’t needed at all. The driveway was long and twisty but 100% worth it for the views. "

"The house is great, finding it was a challenge as the google pin wasn’t accurate. The 4x4 recommendation is no joke. We regretted not having gone food shopping beforehand. Once you are there, you won‘t want to leave. Beds, kitchen equipment, pool are all magnificent! We did have a power cut in the night which caused the electronics to beep. So sad we only had 3 nights in the house."

The views were breathtaking, and although we left the property we had everything we needed plus more right at the property. "Loved the architecture and location of this property! Had very good communication with the property manager!"

"This house is truly one of a kind. It felt like stepping into The Croods (the movie)—living in a cave, but an incredibly luxurious one! The kids said it was like being in a fairytale and were genuinely sad to leave. Tucked away by the river and off the beaten path, it had everything we needed for a magical stay."

"This place is amazing. After walking down the stairs, you see the most incredible rock house with built-in spa, open concept living/dining areas, and truly incredible bathroom with heated seat and great shower. We loved spending family time together in this memorable location. If we had more time, we would have enjoyed hanging out in the gazebo over the river. Very excited to return someday."

"Our stay at Vista Paraiso Lodge for New Year's was amazing. The view is super fantastic especially the sunet and the whole place is beautiful since sunrise, many birds singing. My two dogs loved the whole place and William and his wife are very nice and very helpful. Thank you so much, see you soon. Pura Vida!!"

"Beautiful and peaceful property. Short travel distance to attractions, services, community, and events. Well kept property, in nature, quiet, wbd well equipped. I will stay here again. Thank you"

"Overall excellent. Only (minor) problem was that the first night was pretty cold, and there was no heat in the room. The second night the host provided a ceramic electric heater and that made the cabin very cosy."

"The place is peaceful, quite and far from the Main Street, so you only hear sounds of birds… very relax!!! Ideal for couples or families with kids…"

"This is a great place, but there’s a couple of things you need to know before renting.First, if you can’t tell from the pictures, only the bedroom and bathroom are enclosed, the kitchen is completely open – no screens. That means bugs – it's Costa Rica after all. No mosquitoes, but beetles, flies, little flying things, and the occasional millipede. You can reduce the insects by not turning on the outside lights at night (finish eating before dark) and cleaning up dishes etc. immediately after...

"The place is exactly as it was posted. A very nice unit clean and comfortable. Several staying there are long term residents and all were very friendly and interesting. A wonderful group of guests. We stayed for 5 weeks and I would go back in an instant. The owner quickly replied to any questions or concerns and has the property maintained constantly. The view from the patios is amazingly and the nightly sunsets are breathtaking. A 4X4 vehicle is a must to get to the villa but worth it. We met...

"Sitting out on the balcony overlooking the valley, listening to and looking at the incredible variety of birds… Beautiful place very friendly and helpful. Renters good proximity to the different things we wanted to do. Wonderful place. Earplugs made any noise from dogs or roosters or the street disappear without a problem. Very kind neighbors. Would definitely recommend.!!"

"Das Objekt ist von der Lage, Größe,Gestaltung und von der Kommunikation her einfach vorbildlich. Ana Maria war immer zu erreichen und Probleme (Kleinigkeiten) wurden sofort behoben. Wir haben das Objekt nach knapp 5 Wochen wahrlich unter Tränen verlassen. Besonders die immer freundlich Stimmung unter den Angestellten und Ana Maria hat uns sehr gefallen."
