    Es Trenc



    A paradise of water and sand



    Can Riera is located just 3 km from Es Trenc, one of the most famous beaches in Mallorca due to its stunning stretches of sand and crystal-clear waters. With just under 4 km, this beach in the municipality of Campos is classified as a protected natural space, so its virgin coast only has a few beach services and, curiously, several post-war bunkers. The sandy area also has a nudist zone. A little further inland, a low forest and scrubland extension grows, which soon leads to extensive pine forests.



    The name Trenc comes from trencar or break, and apparently refers to the channel that breaks the coastal line draining the flow of the interior lagoons. The quality of its waters, the tranquility and the extension of the sandy area make Es Trenc one of the best options for bathing in Mallorca.

    A space in harmony with nature



    The surroundings of the house have landscapes and urban centres where you can enjoy nature, beaches and leisure.



    Es Salobrar de Campos

    Es Salobrar de Campos, 130 hectares of seawater ponds that extend like a fascinating play of mirrors. It is known that Carthaginians and Romans were already dedicated to salt production in the area. And currently, the so-called 'white gold' continues to be extracted using traditional methods.



    Due to its undeniable ecological value, the salt marsh is classified as a protected natural area. In it, flora and fauna adapted to salt-rich soils proliferate. But above all, it stands out for the abundance of birds - of which up to 1,700 species have been catalogued - becoming an ecosystem highly appreciated by bird-watching enthusiasts. For this reason, the salt marsh is also recognized as a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA).



    The beaches

    The southern coastline of Mallorca is dotted with fine sand beaches and turquoise sea. The house is located very close to Es Trenc, flanked by the beaches of Ses Covetes and the sandy area of Sa Ràpita, which allows long walks along the shore of an always calm sea.



    But there are many other options: in the nearby Colònia de Sant Jordi, beaches such as Es Carbó or Es Dols can be found, which offer as a gift the panoramic view of the Cabrera archipelago.



    Sant Jordi Colony

    Sant Jordi Colony, in the nearby municipality of Ses Salines, is one of the classic summer holiday spots for Mallorcan families. Years ago this town was a small fishing settlement, and today it offers a range of options to enjoy gastronomy and leisure without excesses. From here, boats depart towards Cabrera, and it also houses an Interpretation Centre that explains the ecological value of this National Park.



    Maritime-Terrestrial National Park of Cabrera

    The Cabrera archipelago is a tiny paradise declared a National Park in 1991. It is formed by 18 islands and islets, although only Cabrera, the largest of the islands, can be visited. Its relief is mountainous and austere, and the coast is predominantly characterized by cliffs that sometimes exceed 100 meters in altitude, softened by coves with turquoise waters. Here live unique species of seabirds and lizards, but the most surprising fauna and flora are submerged: the Posidonia meadows almost touch the shore, and countless fish can be seen at first glance. A paradise for diving enthusiasts. The island also has a castle from the late 14th century.



    Natural Park of Mondragó

    Less than 20 km from the house is Mondragó, an exceptional set of virgin coves recognised as a Natural Park. Among them is the cove of Sa Barca Trencada, near Portopetro, and further south is the Caló des Borgit.



    A small path connects to the cove of Ses Fonts de n'Alís, a spectacular sandy area behind which a torrent is discovered, forming a wetland of great ecological interest. In the idyllic Mondragó Natural Park, S'Amador also stands out, a virgin cove with transparent waters and a backdrop of pine and olive trees.



    Activities



    Nautical

    The beaches and coves that succeed each other along the southern coast of Mallorca make the area an exceptional place for navigation. In the marinas of Colònia de Sant Jordi and in the marina of Sa Ràpita, you will find all the nautical services you may require, as well as numerous options for boat rental.



    Scuba diving

    The crystal-clear waters of the area's beaches invite you to immerse yourself to contemplate the beauty of the seabed. However, one of the favourite spots for divers is the nearby island of Cabrera, where you can enjoy exceptional flora and fauna.



    Windsurf

    Windsurfing and water sailing sports enthusiasts will find multiple locations in this area for practicing these modalities, with the appeal of enjoying unique beaches in Mallorca.



    Bird watching

    The nearby salt marsh of Campos is an area highly appreciated by ornithologists, and in which more than 1,700 birds have been catalogued. Many are migratory species, which find nutrients in these waters to recover from their long journeys.



    Cycling

    The southern area of Mallorca is eminently flat, which allows for undemanding bicycle routes with the added attraction of riding along the coast. A route frequently used by professional and amateur cycling groups is the one connecting Ses Salines with Cap Blanc, where a spectacular coastline is discovered.



    Golf

    Near the hotel are some of the best options for golf practice on the island. This is the case of Golf Maioris, Golf Son Antem East and Golf Son Antem West, located in the municipality of Llucmajor, about 15 kilometres away from Font Santa d'Es Trenc Hotel.



    In the Colònia de Sant Jordi you will find a paddle club with all the infrastructure and services for the practice of this sport.



    Hiking

    Enjoy long walks along the coast, such as a trip to the Cap de Ses Salines lighthouse. It is about 12 kilometres long, during which you will discover unparalleled beaches – such as Es Caragol, Es Carbó or Es Dols –, culminating at this lighthouse, which currently houses a coastal research station. There is also the option of driving to the lighthouse, and walking the path to Colònia de Sant Jordi.



    Horse Riding and Polo

    In the surroundings of the house, you will find the Sant Jordi Equestrian Club and several equestrian centres that offer horse rides in the area. In addition, very close to the hotel is the sa barreleta polo club



    Shopping

    On Thursdays and Saturdays, Campos celebrates a popular market, where you can also walk among craft stalls, handmade clothing, etc. Sa Ràpita, for its part, hosts a summer market in July and August. It is a good time to admire and enjoy the excellent products of the Mallorcan countryside.



    Excursions to Cabrera

    In the summer months, boats depart daily from Colònia de Sant Jordi to Cabrera, a National Park with surprising marine depths, such as those of the famous Blue Cave. And to complete the visit, you can access the Cabrera Interpretation Centre, in Colònia de Sant Jordi, a space in which to delve into the ecological treasures of this natural area.

Die Finca liegt sehr gut gelegen, um an verschiedene Strände zu gelangen

Die Finca liegt sehr gut gelegen, um an verschiedene Strände zu gelangen. Außerdem sind die umliegenden kleinen Städtchen einfach zu erreichen und immer für einen kurzen Besuch, ein Essen, aber vor allem für die Einkäufe wert. Die Finca selber bietet gute Rückzugsmöglichkeiten und der Garten ist ebenfalls weitläufig genug, um selbst mit vielen Gästen Momente der Ruhe zu finden. Mittlerweile ist der Garten zudem sehr schön bewachsen und es duftet herrlich nach Rosmarin und Lavendel.

Wir hatten eine gute Woche! Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage. Der Pool- und Außenbereich sind super schön. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt. Die Aufteilung der Zimmer ist wie beschrieben. Die Bäder sind modern und an jedes Zimmer direkt angeschlossen. An der ein oder anderen Stelle könnte man die Sauberkeit etwas ausbauen, aber im Großen und Ganzen ist es eine tolle Unterkunft.

Das Haus ist wunderschön und für eine gemeinsame Zeit mit Freunden und/oder Familie perfekt geeignet. Jedes Zimmer hat sein eigenes Bad und ist mit allem nötigen ausgestattet. Das Grundstück ist toll und wenn man sich einmal eingerichtet hat, gibt es kaum einen Anlass das Grundstück zu verlassen. Ich habe meinen Geburtstag mit Freunden hier verbracht und würde es immer wieder genau so tun! Vielen Dank!

We had some problems with the two bedrooms downstaires

The house is beautiful and pleasant. We had a few problems with the two bedrooms at the bottom of the stairs. The air conditioning didn't work and they often didn't have hot water, whereas the upstairs rooms did. The bedroom with the bathroom overlooking the corridor had a few problems with damp. I think you should provide a mosquito net in each room as the mosquito nets are not always in good condition. I also think, given the price, that it's up to you to supply the water if it's not drinkable in the house.... Some crockery is missing: mug
