This house is in a good location for both relaxing and spending time on the river. It's also close to Camp Wood and Barksdale for restaurants, church, gas, etc..Very clean with a nice large outdoor deck with seating and a very good fire pit area with seating. Awesome gas grill for your steaks. Large TVs placed in rooms throughout the house. Well equipped kitchen. We saw the Angora goats and also deer down by the crystal clear Nueces River. To earn five stars usually means a combination of the property being nice physically as well the owner/manager of the property being attentive and responding promptly to whatever may come up. Kelly definitely goes out of her way to see that you're having a good time during your stay there so you'll want to come back again. Which we definitely would!

This place is awesome. We spent a ton of time at the river kayaking and fishing/floating and saw very few people. The seclusion is great, the river access is super nice, and the house is very functional. A couple minor items worth mentioning for certain prospective guests: 1) river access is not walking distance, requires the side-by-side or a truck but is very close by; 2) the house is on the main highway and there is some minor road noise occassionally...did not impact our enjoyment. The outdoor patio was really nice as well.

Amazing property for a river vacation getaway!!! House is fantastic, tons of space, fire pit and back deck to hang out. Host are very quick to respond and help with anything we needed. Definitely will be staying here when we come to Campwood.

Ima simple man, I see Nueces Riverfront and I”m in. This place is truly special from the views to the house then to the absolutely stunning section of river. This river access has it all , shallow areas , 5 feet deep areas , excellent fishing throughout the whole river. The kayaks were a plus and were an awesome experience for the kids . The market in camp wood was nice on a Saturday. Hosts were awesome , we loved it and we will be coming back here.

The property was perfect for those who want to get away, enjoy nature and the river. The river was practically private in the 3 days on the river we only saw two sets of people further down on one day. The house is well stocked and has plenty of room to sprawl out. The owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The kitchen had everything we needed and everything was clean! We had 4 adults and 5 kids! Wonderful time!

Fantastic Adventure

“Keep your children wild, let them spend their days in the sunshine.” Spring Break 2025! I love the Texas Hill Country, but I treasure time with my family even more. Our adventures included exploring caverns, hiking at Garner State Park, fishing, kayaking, catching minnows and tadpoles, skipping rocks on the water, playing football and baseball, Twister, and having a campfire with s’mores. The best part is all the memories we made. 🩵

Amazing vacation!! Exceptional clean and all amenties are provided. Pack light and enjoy the tranquil water juat a few steps away. Only suggestions is to put blind on windows in back room.

Great private getaway

It was just a small getaway from home for the kids, but it ended but being a great getaway for the adults and kids! We enjoyed house and all the amenities it has to offer. The private road to the river is a great great plus! Rooms and spacing of the house was perfect for all of us. We had about 12 people including the kids. The rear deck patio with the grill was also a great plus. Will definitely be coming back to this retreat! Lazy K retreat for the win!

A great time!

We had so much fun on our own little private section of River! We were 10 people (4 adults, one 19 year old, and 5 kids ages 6 through 12) and there was plenty of space. The house was very clean with lots of storage space and everything you could possibly need. It was the perfect quiet little get away!

Awesome Family/Friend Trip

We had an amazing time at this property with our family and friends. Plenty of room to spread out, nice and big outdoor patio and the perfect river acces point. Our kids loved the kayaks and rope swings the best. Us adults loved the firepit. We hope to make this an annual trip as we enjoyed it so much!

River House

Home very clean nicely updated. Plenty of towels nice bedding. Lots of extras provided. The Polaris Ranger definitely a plus in getting to the river with chairs, fishing equipment etc. River was so CLEAR & CLEAN. Oh and a shoutout to the sweet little coffee shop few miles down the road Barksdale Coffee Co was pretty cool. A very quiet relaxing fun 3 nights.

Great and fun eclipse experience

While the clouds didn’t cooperate for the eclipse itself, a clear dark sky night, cool river, kayaks, Polaris ranger and sitting around the fire pit provided for a great time for our friend group for our short two night stat. The house was large, well appointed (example regular and Keurig coffee maker provided), and clean. We woild not hesitate to stay again should we venture back deep into Texas Hill Country.

Relaxing trip

We loved our trip to Lazy K! It was beautiful scenery. The river was super relaxing and you can see straight to the bottom. The house was definitely home away from home. It was clean, comfy, and omg the little details at the retreat were spot on. We loved the deck and fire pit! Rent the side by side you won’t be sorry. We had a blast on that thing! My dad didn’t want to leave if that’s an inkling into how much we enjoyed ourselves!
