We spent a week over New Year at this villa and had a fabulous time - mainly due to the standard of the accommodation. We were a relatively small group of 8 - 2 families - so the space was vast. It was immaculate - I’m very fussy about hygiene but this was the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. The ‘basement’ was perfect for the teens. They enjoyed the sauna, their only living room and table tennis and we could shut the door so they could sleep in without being disturbed. The ground floor had two big bedrooms and a bathroom which were round a corner so very private. There was also a downstairs loo/shower room. Kitchen was well equipped. Hand wash and small washing up liquid/sponge were provided but that was it. No shampoo/shower gel etc. which I think is the norm in Spain but worth knowing. The top floor views were incredible and the bedrooms (3) lovely. Outside was vast. 8 lounges (another 2 on the upstairs deck), big seating area to eat and 2 separate comfy sofa areas. We were blessed with the weather for December / January so sat outside a lot. Calpe was a 20 min walk and very doable. The trek back up the hill was also fine. There were still plenty of bars and restaurants open and the ‘kids’ found a few late night clubs. We only ate out twice as the villa was so nice and the many nearby supermarkets well stocked. Walkable but we had car’s. Excellent communication from the owners. If I was planning a similar kind of trip I wouldnt hesitate to stay again.
