Excellent stay! Property has been updated, and was very comfortable for the price! It’s a basic hotel for a basic price, but well worth the stay! I wish more were like this! Affordable and safe!

A night to myself

Everything was extra clean the lady was very nice brought me extra tiles the only thing was the bed squeaked very uncomfortable and the mattress didn't fit on a metal frame just right and I'm not the tar out of my leg and I've got bruise on my right leg because of the bed
or I'm not the toy out of my leg with the bed rails it's the mattress didn't fit good on it and I hurt my leg but is be okay I guess

Bedbugs and Scabbies

Bedbugs and Scabbies...need one say more. I usually forgive and forget but travelers beware of this property until they make a real effort to solve the problem. Seen review a month after I stayed indicating bedbugs still an issue a month later so felt I needed to issues this warning.

Seems like a deal but NOT WORTH IT

We stopped here overnight during a long trip- rented 2 rooms for our family. It was filthy. We got nonsmoking but the whole place reeks of smoke. Our comforter had clearly not been washed since the last guests as it had stains all over. Multiple holes in the walls, and we saw a German cockroach crawling on the walls as we were leaving.

Beware

The room was infested with roaches ans bed bugs. I left with bite marks all over me. If I have brought them home with me I am gonna be livid. There were stains on the bedding as well. Yoi defiently get what you pay for.

Terrible service and filthy room

The young person at the night window said we did not have reservation. We showed him we did. He wanted to charge us $75.09 plus tax. We showed him the price we were confirmed at from on line app. We tried calling the office to let them know the sheets were dirty. Toilet did not work properly. Not the t.v. carpet was dirty. And sink filthy. We could not get them to answer phone not the bell at night window. It was not even 9:30 pm. Also next morning at 6:45 am. I called to get WiFi info . It took 4 calls for them to finally answer phone. Then they did not help with WiFi. She said she was sleepy and for me to try back later. Then when we checked out at 8:30 at the night window again we rang Bell for 10 mins. Still no one came. It was very cold windy and raining/snowing.Then called 3 times on phone. They rudely told us to toss room key card in window. Now we were not comfortable doing that and told them so on phone she said it would be fine because they were still asleep. And hung up on my husband. I called back and told them how things were in room and all what I stated above. I aked was she still in bed. Because if you are going to manage a business that was very unprofessional the way we were treated. I reported this place to the Better Business Bureau yesterday. I also have stated my experience on face book sites. I asked for my money back and she would not give us it back. Never again will I stay at this place. And we visit alot in Calhoun Georgia. Terrible!!!!

I want to say this is the nastiest place no daily house keeping as they said if you want your room cleaned you have to inform them by 10 am and we were not told this upon check in they have roaches it was just awful and the bad thing was we had pre paid for the week so we were stuck there also if you wanted clean towels you have to ask and we had to pay extra for our pets and when we returned one night they were barking to greet us as normal but there was this couple next that woke us up at one in the moring the woman was whining all night keeping us up but they didnt do any thing about that and then next day they claimed the woman checked out but the same woman was whailing next door to us and then they started yelling and fighting in the parking lot and they didnt do anything about it and i just thought complain about my dogs but do nothing about this so if you want a nasty disturbing place then this is it dont say i didnt warn you

We would stay again; it is convenient to the interstate & it's obvious that it's in the process of being rehabbed. Couple of nitpicks: the remote didn't work properly and the ballhead on the bathtub/shower faucet didn't work (we just removed it as it was already loose). The premises and room were clean; however, the mattress itself looked dirty. The name of the hotel is also confusing: is it Hotel Calhoun or OYO or the Smith Hotel?

Fine value for the money

I was pleasantly surprised to find that such an affordable property had such a cheerful outside appearance and a fairly well-appointed, clean, id slightly worn, room. On the minus side, the mattress was harder than I prefer and there was no coffeemaker in the room. No coffee in the lobby either.But form someone staying more than a single night, the fridge and microwave in the room would offset those.

A Wonderful Place

I could never find a place as clean as this one was. It is quiet, and has a very strong internet which was important as I have an internet business. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs efficient place to stay. The price is great, but don't let that fool you. This is one of the best there is for the money..

Fine for the price

This property is clean and comfortable, the owners are helpful. The building is currently being renovated, the work doesn’t start too early. Be aware this property is now an Oyo and looks rather different to the current pictures. A very reasonable budget stay.
