Property is modern and high spec, overlooking a nice valley and the ocean. You get the sun for the majority of the day which is a bonus as other Calheta properties we have stayed at before suffer from either morning or evening shade due to the valleys.
It has shops and various cafe/bars within walking distance.
The property managers were very helpful throughout given all the issue we had regarding flight cancelations and date changes. Because of initial quarantine on arrival whilst waiting for covid test results they went shopping for us and got us some essentials to tie us over for the first 24 hours which was appreciated, they even came round at 21:30 on a Saturday evening after the trip switch (hidden in a locked cupboard) tripped for the air-conditioning during a thunderstorm, I said i was happy to wait until the Sunday morning but they are very proactive if there are any issues.
Internet speed is very good +60mbps.
Gym is well equipped, shame it doesn't have air conditioning considering it is so exposed to the sun.
The only things i would comment on would be
1) The pool is very shallow at one end and an odd shape meaning that you can't do any exercise swimming but its fine for relaxing and would be great for those with young children given how shallow it is at the one end. The cover is a pain to put on and remove everyday given its odd shape. The listed sizes are not correct, it should be more like 60cm-140cm depth
2) Watch your head when cooking on the hob, the cooker hood on the island is so low that anyone over about 5'6" will hit their head on it when trying to check/stir your food in the pans, it got me and my partner many times during our stay!
3) Listing says PS4 in games room when infact it is a PS3 so if you bring PS4 games with you, you will be disappointed.
We never usually return to the same property twice as we don't find the second time is ever the same experience however if we did we would happily return to this one.
