We booked and paid for a Panoramic Suite through Expedia. The listing photos showed a large queen bed, a separate living room with sofa bed, and a corner bathtub, which is exactly why we chose this hotel for our honeymoon.
When we checked in, we were told the panoramic room was “under repair” and were put into a standard economy room instead. We were told to come back the next day and it would be fixed. The next day, we were told it was still not available and nothing could be done. The only compensation offered was a free dinner.
The room we were given was very small with two twin beds, which was not what was advertised or booked, especially awkward for a honeymoon. Our luggage took up most of the room. The photos on Expedia for the Panoramic Suite do not match what we received.
When Expedia contacted the hotel about this, the hotel told Expedia that the “correct room was provided,” even though it clearly was not and we had provided photos showing the difference. Because of that, Expedia refused to issue a refund.
The food at the hotel restaurant was good, which was the one bright spot. However, the area outside the hotel is very noisy and dirty, with constant honking through the night.
If you book a premium room here, be aware that you may not actually receive it. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch on room category.
