Magical

What a great place. The villa is stunning and the pool was beautiful with views of vineyards. My friends enjoyed the bird watching every morning. The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked few times. We can’t wait to come back. There is absolutely nothing I would change. There is lots of places near by to visit with great food options.

Great house for large family in great location

Very spacious house in wonderful setting. Vineyards as far as the eye can see. Friendly hosts who also not intrusive. Longest pool we have ever had in 25 years of visiting France! House was well equipped for catering for yourselves - best cooking pots we've had in a long time Very good location and easy to visit the Roman Theatre in Orange, Vaison La Romaine, Arles and Nimes. Wish we were still there.

Friends-week

Great property, everything you need is in the house. Spacious, well-maintained and a cosy interior. The swimming-pool is some steps away from the house but in fact it’s the best place to sit overthere and enjoying sunshine 😉👍. There are a lot of beautiful old trees on the premises and they gave a lot of shade around the house and terrace which is nice. The owners are nice people; the wine-tour by Nick was very interesting and the in-house dinner by Sabine was excellent. A really great place in Cairanne. The weather was not as it should normally be in June but perfect to visit nice places in the neigbourhood.

Great area for sight seeing

Families Cameron & Bruce-Mitford 01-08 June We booked this beautifully restored traditional mas to mark a very significant birthday for the matriarch of our extended family brought together for an all too rare reunion from the UK, France, Morocco and the USA. We are leaving with a heavy heart after just one week- how we regret that it could not have been longer. In choosing l’Ameillaud we have been able to enjoy not only a lovely property in an idyllic location but two charming owners in Sabine (whom we thank for a splendid birthday meal in the welcome shade of the ancient plane trees) and Nick, whose lecture on Vaucluse wines and their development over the past 100 years was a revelation, even to this veteran of numerous wine tours and tastings over the years! Creating and managing rental properties is demanding and often challenging but in Sabine and Nick we have the perfect hosts, welcoming but discreet, and always available for assistance and information. It is hard to imagine how their Ameillaud formula could be improved! We have enjoyed several excellent meals (in addition to Sabine’s) and would thoroughly recommend the restaurant “Le C” near Gordes and the hotel restaurant “Montmirail” in Vacqueras. Thank you for your hospitality.

Sur votre site, l'heure d'arrivée est marquée 16h, par mail la propriétaire nous a indiqué 17h. Je trouve que c'est trop tard, 15h serait mieux. Pareil pour le départ, 10h c'est trop tôt, surtout avec des petits enfants; 11h serait mieux. La propriétaire propose des repas très bon mais trop onéreux. Tout le reste était parfait.

Lovely stay at Mas Meyeau

We spent two wonderful weeks at Mas Mayeau with friends. Sabine and Nick are gracious and warm hosts. The house itself was comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed cooking meals with ingredients purchased at local markets. We highly recommend the wine tour with Nick!

Wir genossen eine wunderbare Woche sowohl zu Hause als auch in der Umgebung - ideal zum Radfahren und für historisches Sightseeing. Das Haus mit der grossen Küche/Wohnbereich lädt ein zum Kochen und Verweilen. Der Aussenbereich ist gross und hat Ausstrahlung der Ruhe und Entspannung. Leider war das Wetter zu kühl, um den Poolbereich zu benutzen, aber auch dieser lädt zum Verweilen ein. Ideal für Familien oder grössere Freundesgruppen, wo jeder sein Plätzchen findet. Einfach nur zum Empfehlen!

Wonderful place!! the space, the light, the comfort! Everything was just perfect. Our family have been renting houses in Provence for the last 15 years, and this place is the best we have ever rented. Sabine and Nick is extremely friendly and helpfull hosts. Perfect house for our family of 10 plus a small dog!

We had an amazing week at L'Ameillaude with 8 adults, 2 young children, and a baby. The house is very large and all the bedrooms are a good size. The house also has plenty of bathrooms so we didn't feel crowded. The grounds and swimming pool are absolutely beautiful. Our host Sabine was so helpful. The location is great for exploring wineries and villages. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay here again.

Paradise in Provence

Everything about our stay if four weeks was great. First, our hosts, Simone and Nick could not have been more giving and helpful. The house is very comfortable, the grounds are lovely and the pool is great both for the kids and the adults. The hill towns in the area were fun to visit and beautiful to photograph. In summary, we hated to leave.

Best Vrbo We've Stayed In

Our family was looking for a property to spend a quiet week in the French wine country and found Sabine and Nick's house. We were so impressed with the home, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed from cooking supplies to pool toys for the children. The ground are breath taking, beautiful views in all directions, and the house is secluded making it a private place to relax. The bedrooms have air conditioning which was also a nice feature that other rentals in France don't have. We scheduled a wine tour with Nick which was excellent, he gave us a great overview of the history of the region and the property. We also arranged for Sabine to cook three meals for us, and they were absolutely incredible. I'm still dreaming of the chocolate cake with lemon icing she made on our last night for desert. It was so nice to have her cook the meals and deliver them, and just have the experience of enjoying a meal in the house without the work of preparing the meal and doing the shopping. If you're on the fence on booking this property or having meals catered, just do it! You'll be glad you did, we came home from this vacation with some many memories and feeling very relaxed from our stay. I hope we can return in the near future to enjoy their home once again.

Fantastic family holiday

Sabine and Nick were excellent hosts. They live on the property so if we needed advice etc they were onhand. The property is lovely, very well furnished with good sized bedrooms . The kitchen was well appointed and a lot of outdoor space for eating and playing. All the rooms have air con which was a big help in the heatwave! It is near the local village (10 minute walk) with a good boulangerie , general store and an excellent wine shop. The area is excellent for wine tasting ( indeed Nick’s wine is pretty good!) and there are a lot of wonderful nearby villages and markets to visit as well as the larger towns like Avignon and L’ Isle sur la Sorgne. I would thoroughly recommend this domaine and hope to come back.

Beautiful house and location

Our family loved our stay at Domaine L'Ameillaud. The house is perfectly situation to explore the Cotes du Rhone region and has gorgeous views of the vineyards and Mont Ventoux. The bedrooms are sizable and beautifully decorated and include air conditioning. Bathrooms are modern and well equipped, as is the kitchen. Our kids loved playing ping-pong in the courtyard and the adults enjoyed a glass of wine at the outside table. The pool is secluded and has lovely views - it was the perfect way to end our days with our kids after some hot days sight seeing. Nick and Sabine were fabulous hosts who looked after our every need. We'd highly recommend the wine tasting with Nick! His wines and olive oil are delicious. Sabine was gracious in every way and provided us with a delicious charcuterie board when we arrived and snacks for our wine tasting. We will have many happy memories of our stay at Mas Meyeaux! Can't recommend it enough!

Secluded tranquility

The Mas lived up to all our expectations. The perfect escape from it all in the heart of the French countryside. Sabine and Nick were wonderful hosts, living on the property, so always on hand if we needed them, but also giving us our privacy. They even brought us fresh fruit and vegetables from their garden. The house was perfect for the family, the pool gorgeous, and the surrounding villages beautiful to explore. All round the perfect escape to relax for a few days. Thank you for sharing your delightful home!

Mas Meyeux

Our stay at Mas Meyeux exceeded our expectation. We appreciated a wonderful charcuterie board arranged by our hosts upon arrival. The villa was well appointed inside and allowed for a variety of outdoor activities. We particularly enjoyed the beauty of the pool area and the wine tasting provided upon request. Some of us explored the region’s nearby attractions. Our hosts were always attentive to our needs during our stay.

wunderschönes Weingut mit Blick auf den Mont Ventoux

Das Haus ist geräumig, gepflegt und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der ideale Platz für schöne und entspannte Tage in und ums Haus, am Pool und in der Umgebung. Sabine und Nick sind sehr nette und angenehme Vermieter. Wir haben uns bei Ihnen sehr wohl gefühlt und können Ferien in Ameilliaux sehr empfehlen!

Happy Family
