"Lovely property that felt very safe and tucked away. We were worried about the heat and no AC when we arrived- but found that the fans upstairs and keeping the shutters open until we went to bed cooled everything down so nicely. The beaches across the street were really fun- but definitely bigger waves to play in, vs a calm water beach (which there is down the road a bit more). "Five stars for the overall experience, location, and especially the staff, even though the actual accommodation is quite basic. The main listing makes it sound like this is a whole house, but it’s actually two completely separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and no connecting door between the two, then the kitchen and seating areas are outside. "This lodge was the perfect setup for our family of 4 visiting the Cahuita area for a couple days. Immersed in nature and 5 minutes drive from the village, ideal for those looking for peace and quiet (except for the howler monkeys calls!) as long as you have a rental car.
