One bedroom holiday home near the Snowdonia National Park

  • We offer a one-bedroom property, in a detached building, which accommodates two separate holiday homes. The accommodation is conveniently located between the stunning mountain scenery of Snowdon and the blue flag beach at Dinas Dinlle. 8 miles from the historic town of Caernarfon, with its castle and approximately one mile from Snowdonia National Park. The house has a modern open plan living/dining/kitchen room, with a DVD/TV. The bedroom has a cosy/cottage ambiance with a wardrobe, night stand and dressing table/stool. We have off road parking at the right hand side of the holiday home.

    We are half a mile from the Wales Slate World Heritage Site. There are various paths marked around the Dorothea Quarry. The deepest part of the quarry is 106m, which is below the water table. A Cornish beam engine was installed in 1904 to pump the water out of the quarry, this remains in situ in its Grade 1 listed engine house.

    A great location for walkers, cyclists, climbers, water activities and steam train enthusiasts. There is a cycle path nearby which goes from Felinheli to Bryncir. The mountain path up Snowdon from Rhyd Ddu is only 8 miles away, in addition to breath-taking views along the Nantlle Ridge walk. Rhyd Ddu is a station on the narrow gauge Welsh Highland Railway, which was built in 1881. There is stunning scenery from the steam train with destinations from Caernarfon to Porthmadog.

Tout le nécessaire était présent ( sauf des verres à vin 😄!)

Bien localisé , à proximité du parc Naturel de Snowdonia. Proprios très gentils . Un bémol , pas d’environnement extérieur immédiat pour flâner , dîner ou lire dehors ( on a dressé nos propres sièges de jardin dans la cour pour prendre l’apéro si soleil couchant )

Nestling in the Nantlle valley

A neat and compact facility with all amenities. Everything worked as advertised; the bed was comfortable and the WiFi excellent. It is brilliantly located, as it has easy access to the much improved A487 which gives fast north-south transits (Porthmadog - Caernarfon), whilst in the other direction there is easy access to Rhyd Ddu, Beddgelert and Snowdon. It is also well placed for anyone wanting to explore the quarries of Nantlle and Moel Tryfan.

Very relaxing

Lovely property, well appointed and in a gorgeous location. Near fields with little lambs calling their mums. Really lovely house as well. The owner Clare was lovely and really helpful. Great property for someone staying on their own. Good directions with W3W so easy to find, easy to park. I definitely would recommend.

Great stay in Snowdonia

A very warm welcome from my host, living in the main house next door. Close enough to Caenarfon but above all at the bottom of Snowdonia's mountains. An ideal gateway to the National Park. Fantastic Indian restaurant nearby. A very quiet environment. Will return.

Kleines, gemütliches Cottage

Gemütliches, kleines Cottage. Besteht aus zwei Wohneinheiten, ich habe meinen Nachbarn jedoch kaum bemerkt. Im Erdgeschoss ein Raum mit kleiner, ausreichende ausgestatteter Küche, Couch, TV und Elektro Kamin für gemütliche Atmosphäre. In der Küche wartet Tee, Kaffee und Milch. Zusätzlich ist dort ein kleines Bad mit guter, heißer Dusche. Alles super sauber! Im oberen Stock das Schlafzimmer mit einem herrlich gemütlichen Bett. Ich habe lange nicht so gut geschlafen. Völlige Ruhe, außer ein paar Lämmchen auf dem benachbarten Feld. Claire hat mich sehr freundlich und liebenswert empfangen und war sehr hilfreich. Gerne gab sie mir Tips über die Umgebung und die Vergangenheit der Schieferminen. Sehr guter Ausgangsort für Wanderungen in Snowdonia. Vielen Dank für eine wundervolle Woche in North Wales.

Great place to discover Snowden and surrounding areas.

A compact dwelling with every amenity provided. You dont need to pack anything other than food and clothes!!! Claire was the perfect host. Available when needed but let us enjoy the house and area. Would definitely recommend it. Especcially if you only want to hear silence at night apart from the occasional bleating of the sheep!!!

This property was just perfect. Very clean and everything you need for your holiday. Owner was very friendly even put milk in the fridge ready for us. Would recommend this property in a perfect location.
