Lucas was very accommodating on our last minute trip! The home has a beautiful view of the Lake and the sunset was stunning! It’s a great location with easy access to many hiking trails in the Land Between the Lakes! We even walked the beautiful bridge that you can from the house! We had a lovely stay!!

The house was as advertised, really even nicer than the pictures. The location is really nice. You can't access the lake very well from the back of the house (stairs leading to a rocky shore), but you can access it easily from other areas of the overall property.We loved having access to the pontoon and used it a lot. We also rented jet skis 1 day on property. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Property was as described. Loved being able to bring our dog with and made great use of the Pontoon boat that was available. Most enjoyable part of the house was the screened in deck- great views at sunset and was enjoyable being able to watch a few storms roll past. Lots of stars on a clear night! Lucas the owner was available and kind when needed. I recommend this property. Enjoy!

Lake stay

Overall good stay, small things kept it from a 5 star rating. Very bare bones. Things like oils and spices in the kitchen, toiletries, and extra blankets would’ve helped. Some small issues on check in but the host was very responsive to email and things were corrected in a timely manner. Back yard lake access not the best for swimming or water activities, but host offers his property down the street for dock and fishing.

Quilting retreat

We really enjoyed the quiet peninsula with fabulous views of Lake Barkley. The accommodation fulfilled all of our needs — and even some that we didn’t know we needed; I.e., relaxation and “water therapy”. My husband and daughter took advantage of the hiking and history provided nearby in the Homeplace 1850’s Working Farm at the Recreation area. We had loads of space! Thank you, Lucas and staff for sharing this lovely “get away”.

Great weekend getaway

Had stormy weather so missed out on hiking that we were looking forward to. But we did enjoy the house, the couch was super comfy and the WiFi sufficient for us to watch movies and enjoy each other’s company. We also rented a pontoon, which was fun, but again, I wish the weather had been better. Host was responsive and accommodating throughout the trip.

Extremely clean and spacious. The view was great!! We loved the quiet neighborhood. The location is central to the area. Wi-Fi worked well and cell service (ATT) was good.

Life is easy

We enjoyed our stay. Loved seeing the fox, orchard orioles, and especially the screened in porch. The house was perfect getaway for the four of us. The fishing was not so great but we can’t blame that on vrbo.

Fun Family and Pet Get-A-Way

We had an amazing time! House and amenities were exactly as described in the listing. We usually only look at homes that allow dogs because our Border Collie loves the outdoors as much as we do, so we were very happy that this owner has homes that are all pet-friendly! Thanks! House was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed for a family of 4. Loved the deck and especially the screened-in-porch off one bedroom to sit in the mornings and evenings and enjoy the panoramic view of Lake Barkley. The home was on a dead-end street and very quiet. We really loved that we were so close to 68 to get to LBL, Cadiz, and several State Resort Parks where we spent a lot of time enjoying the nearby sites, LOTS of hiking, shopping and good restaurants. Another huge perk was the owners' offer for a family pass to the Lake Barkley State Park Fitness Center where we used the heated pool, basketball court, etc., almost every day, especially because it was a cooler week and fishing/boating were unfortunately not part of our normal vacation activities. Although we didn't get a chance to use it, there is also a very nice fire pit/sitting area to use. The owners were easy to contact and very helpful. We had an amazing vacation and would love to come back again soon!
