"Max’s Roost was lovely! Clean, bright. It feels more like an AirBnB because there isn’t an in-person reception, but the communication was good and effective. There is a nice organized binder in the room to answer any questions you might have. My only warning is the bedframe is VERY creaky. If you turn over, it’s going to creak—very loudly. It’s alarming. "Honestly, after a number of disappointing stays recently, we weren't expecting much so we could avoid being disappointed. But, we were anything but. We were in the maple room, which had private access to outside, a nice living room, a small kitchen (no stove), a large bedroom and very comfortable bed, and a semi small bathroom that was laid out well. "VERY cozy rural stay with quick access to Manchester. For “in” days and nights the projector is perfect. The garage access is fantastic for rainy/snowy days. Beautiful, serene views off the back deck with stream sounds yards away. Great spot. We’ve stayed here twice now. "
