"Nice property overlooking the Elbe river. They don't take credit cards which requires a transfer from a bank for 70% of your stay to reserve your room. The owners are very friendly and eager to make your stay enjoyable. They own and operate an ice cream shop and restaurant with typical German food options adjacent to the hotel. "Eigentlich nur als günstig in der Nähe der Autobahn gelegene Zwischenübernachtung gebucht, hat dieses Hotel mit seiner Ausstattung, Sauberkeit und Restaurantkarte sehr positiv überrascht. Es liegt trotz Nähe zur AB sehr ruhig, eigentlich weit abseits. Trotzdem war an einem Mittwoch und in der Vorsaison sowohl das Restaurant als auch das Hotel gut gebucht. "Wonderful, quiet location in a charming neighborhood. 30 minutes by tram to the Altstadt. Short walk to a lovely beer garden and ferry to the Pillnitzer Castle. We also loved cycling along the Elbe. For some reason, the access code was sent through Expedia instead of Hotels.com, so you might need to call the hostess before arrival to meet you. She was very gracious and the breakfast was a delight. A wonderful place to experience Dresden in a peaceful, clean, and comfortable environment!"

"The penzion is in an old building with wooden floors and low beams and is tastefully furnished with antique furniture and fittings. However underneath this everything functions well (think modern shower, cooking facilities, etc). It is comfortable and quiet and there is a nice balcony to sit out on and eat, read, etc. We didn't have the breakfast on offer so can't comment on that. The owner was friendly and helpful.
