We had the most amazing stay!! Our group was 2families, with 5 teens. The set up was great with 2 separate suites for adults and 3 bedrooms in the main house.186 steps to the ocean, but worth every one!! Private, swimmable beach with beautiful views. The sunsets were unreal. The ocean and pool temperatures were ideal to cool off from the warm sun. The view from the house was spectacular!!We rented golf carts and were able to explore the whole area. Our favorite restaurants were Coco Loco, Surfbox, and La Forketta. We also chartered a boat with Manta Ray Sailing for the day and it was everyone’s favorite. We swam at a private beach and snorkeled. Highly recommend this spot!!

Spectacular! Our family of 6 had an amazing time. The house was perfect. Pictures don’t do it justice. Incredible views and well-equipped kitchen. Pool is stunning. Beach access was great and the trek down from the house well worth it. Premier suite was amazing. Location is perfect. Rented golf carts and took them everywhere. Yessina was helpful and lovely. We will definitely be back! Thanks for an amazing stay!

The moment we opened the front door we couldn’t stop smiling! The pictures on the website don’t begin to capture its beauty and coziness. We were celebrating our 50 th anniversary with ages ranging from 18 to 79. We all had our private spaces and wonderful places to gather as a family. We rented a car and had no trouble navigating. We we going to rent a golf cart but discovered you have to be 21 to drive them. Our favorite restaurant was Oceana which is at the new marina. We actually went twice. The taco shop doesn’t look like much but was delicious and we brought our dinner home to the best view in the world. If you want an all day adventure we can’t recommend Pure Nature highly enough! Ou guide Livingston and his driver Orlando went above and beyond

Gorgeous Setting

Lovely home with beautiful views of ocean - pool clean and relaxing - to get to the beach from the house, however, there are 162 steps down to the gate - lots of bird watching too. the housekeeper is awesome and keeps everything fixed and cleaned every day - we loved our visit

Incredible view and atmosphere

The property was absolutely incredible. The view was unmatched and we spent the majority of our stay on the outside deck and pool enjoying the landscape. The homeowner was very helpful and communicative and the house manager was as well. The only thing that we struggled with was the heat. The house is hard to cool down but after a couple of days it was comfortable.

Fantastic location with epic views

We loved our stay at the Sunset Villa! We had five kids ranging from 7 to 12 and four adult adults. The pool was absolutely perfect. The views were stunning. The location was wonderful close to the grocery store and amigos. We’re so glad we rented the golf cart to get to and from the beach and to the store as the walks are steep. Flamingo Beach is the best of all worlds with a low-key vibe. Great dinner options within a 10 minute golf cart ride. We loved exploring the neighboring beaches as well. The house itself has three spacious bedrooms in the main house one spacious bedroom in the Casita and a master suite next to the pool. Yessina was fantastic throughout. We were a messy family having 5 kids and she made it still feel clean and like vacation!

Spectacular stay!!

Everything about our stay was perfect, the Villa is even more beautiful in person and you cannot beat the sunsets. From the moment we opened the door we were all in awe at how beautiful and clean the place was. Yesenia, comes daily and make sure that we have everything we need and she leaves the place sparkling clean. Our host was very responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend Sunset Villa. You will have a great time with the local beaches, and all the great restaurants right in the area.

Amazing time in Playa Flamingo

Sunset Villa was perfect for our group of 9. The home was clean and well stocked for our needs. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful infinity pool and looking out at the beautiful view of Flamingo. We loved having the beach steps to access the beach. We also rented golf carts to go to town, which was so conveniently close to the villa. Yeesnia the housekeeper was super responsive and also respectful of our privacy. 10/10 recommend this villa!

Gorgeous property and views!

We had 4 couples stay at Sunset Villa. We could not have been more pleased! The views are incredible and the sunsets can't be beat. As other reviewers have said, we had plenty of room to be together but also plenty of privacy. Even the rooms near the kitchen were quiet when others were in the kitchen. Fantastic property, easy communication with the owner and the housekeeper. Her translation app made it easy to "talk" with her. We couldn't have asked for a better place!

Excellent stay in Playa Flamingo

There were 10 friends who travel together yearly. Plenty of space and amazing sunsets in the pool. Yersinia was very quick to respond as was the owner. Golf cart rental is a must. All areas easily accessible by cart. Two negatives. As others have said the steps down to the beach are a hike going down and back up. You can always golf cart down to the more public beach. The other is that when we arrived on Sunday the pool was green with algae. People came out and worked on it that night and the next morning. Cleared up after a couple days but this was not a great look. Everything else was very very good.

New Years in Playa Flamingo

I took my extended family, all ten of use to Playa Flamingo for a seven day trip over the new year. Everything regarding the home was exactly as described in the listing. One major concern was the safety of the three and five year olds with us, stairs to the beach, railing and other possible hazards. this ended being a non-issue. Communication with the owner was great along with his recommendations. We did have a car and golf cart which gave us the ability to do many day trips. We had a great stay and would love to come back some day.

Family Vacation

Beautiful location and layout of property. Easy access to the beach with some tide pools. The infinity pool on the property was a big hit. We felt very safe and secure in this location. Comfortable beds and air conditioning. Very walkable to town with shops and restaurants.

Perfect Home For A Special Birthday Vacation

10 of us stayed at this beautiful property for a 40th birthday celebration, it was perfect! The house and view are even more gorgeous in person, it's called Sunset Villa for a reason!!! Checking in was a breeze, Yesenia was fabulous and we had no trouble communicating via Google Translate. Highly recommend renting a golf cart for convenient travel to the beach and around Playa Flamingo, although the stairs provided a great little work out! We rented vehicles as well so day tripping to Tamarindo and other towns was easy. Property was a little hard to find at first but once we did we had no trouble getting in and out of the area. We all had plenty of room to socialize or have some private time. The Casita is perfect for anyone with a baby or elderly folks who don't want to stay up late for the pool parties. LOTS of funs times in the beautiful pool and we made use of the kitchen too which was fully stocked to cook. 10/10 rent this villa, you will not be disappointed!!!

Beautiful Property!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously! My siblings and I took my mom for her 80th birthday. We had three couples and my mom. The house was perfect for the large group. Everyone had their own space and privacy. The view is spectacular!

Wonderful visit

We couldn’t have loved the house and entire experience more! With 9 people for a week, we never felt cramped but were all able to enjoy each others company in the many living areas. The house was clean and fully stocked and ready for a large group to enjoy. We were fortunate enough to have a private chef and they even commented how incredible the view was despite serving many houses in the area. The owner/host was very proactive in communicating about the house and even shared tips on local attractions and restaurants to check out! The star of the show was Yessenia though and she was so helpful multiple times of our stay!

This is the spot

From the moment we walked in, we knew this was as good as advertised. Spacious, luxurious, comfortable and beautiful. We put the accommodations to good use with 5 couples in our group. The pool was lovely and the beach was clean and relatively private. Clear instructions for using the oven would be my suggestion, because we could not get it to work. Lots to do within walking distance. We would certainly stay here again.
