This place is truly a gem. We had 5 couples thoroughly and comfortably enjoy a week here. The pictures can't possibly due it the justice it deserves. A couple things for others to note. There are nice 3 bedrooms inside the house, 1 amazing bedroom with panoramic windows and the most amazing view that is attached to the house, and 1 separate casita with kitchen, living and bed and bath unattached. All bedrooms are very comfortable with their own bathrooms. But there is a clear winner being the bedroom woth the view. The house was plenty big enough for 5 couples. The beach from the house. was superb. Yes, you can swim and snorkel. Its a hike up and down the steps but we used it as our excuse for our daily workout. Golf cart rentals are more valuable than car rentals. We wished we rented cars as needed versus for the week. But, we needed the golf carts daily. This is a special place. Enjoy!

The house is great —the outside pool area is amazing. The sunsets are spectacular. The are has so many things to do and enjoy. It was nice to be able to hop in a golf cart to explore and enjoy the many different restaurants that are so close to the house. Highly recommend a catamaran cruise to spend the day on the water. Overall, we had a fantastic week in Playa Flamingo.

Home was great - pictures very accurate - beautiful view and pool - owner very responsive throughout - thanks to the great housekeeper it was spotless all week - we had a wonderful family (all adults) - hired a good chef to make it easy - bedrooms were spacious and comfy - note if you have a larger grp- the living room furniture is limited seating but we moved chairs from other rooms and then put back at the end - highly recommend !

The host is very responsive. The house is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need. The location is perfect and walkable to a lot of restaurants. Every night we had a spectacular sunset! The housekeeper is so sweet and does a fabulous job! Thank you Yesenia! We will definitely be back.

Our family of surfers and seekers of quiet and awesome beaches gave this stay a 10/10. The home had everything we wanted and needed. We loved our family getaway. Highly recommend Sunset Villa!

The owner was responsive and made efforts to address issues as they arose, which we appreciated. However, the overall experience did not align with the number of five-star reviews this property has.Throughout our stay, ongoing maintenance and functionality issues occurred. The coffee maker did not work on our first morning and had to be replaced. Several electrical outlets either did not work or were too loose to hold plugs, including outlets by the beds. Paper towels listed as provided were not available upon arrival and required multiple follow-ups.The primary bedroom air conditioning was not functional when we arrived and ultimately required a full replacement. While this was resolved the following evening, we had already moved rooms and unpacked not knowing how long it would take to resolve. Contractors were coming in and out during our stay, including during a pool day. The bedroom we relocated to had an AC unit that made loud popping noises all night, and a contractor was in that room for several hours the morning of our checkout replacing it.
Additional issues included toilets not flushing properly, lamps missing light bulbs, remote controls with dead batteries, a fan that repeatedly stopped working, and a hot tub that did not function at all.Overall, the home is quite outdated and didn't meet expectations for a “luxury villa” at this price point. While repairs made during our stay may benefit future guests, our experience fell below expectations. Great location

Sunset Villa truly lives up to its name with breathtaking sunset views we enjoyed every evening. The layout is perfect for groups, with a private casita (full kitchen, living room, king bed, bath), a main house with three king en-suite bedrooms plus a half bath, and a separate bungalow/primary suite with stunning floor-to-ceiling windows.The main house has a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living areas, smart TV, strong WiFi, and excellent air conditioning. Outside, the infinity pool and whirlpool (not heated) offer incredible sunset views, along with a large outdoor dining table and lounge area.Beach access is via stairs and leads to a beautiful sandy beach (some rocks at low tide). We even watched New Year’s Eve fireworks from the beach.Notes: Hand soap is provided, but bring shower toiletries. Plenty of towels, but no beach chairs or umbrellas.An amazing stay with unforgettable views. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the Villa Sunset was perfect. The open living, kitchen dining area were fantastic. The photos don’t do it justice. We were able to dine outside and inside. We hired a local chef for some meals. And they said the kitchen had everything they needed. The view was spectacular. We watched the whales and dolphins and could hear the waves from the patio. The stairs to the beach are not that onerous. We could go for morning walks and swims carrying just our towels. All the bedrooms were comfy and if you actually follow the instructions given for the air cons they would work adequately. The Villa is close all kinds of good beach restaurants that we got to and from by our rented golf carts. Deitmar was a great host. He answered any questions I had promptly. Yesenia, the housekeeper was great especially since she has mastered the translated app so we could make up for our lacking in Spanish,

We had the most amazing stay!! Our group was 2families, with 5 teens. The set up was great with 2 separate suites for adults and 3 bedrooms in the main house.186 steps to the ocean, but worth every one!! Private, swimmable beach with beautiful views. The sunsets were unreal. The ocean and pool temperatures were ideal to cool off from the warm sun. The view from the house was spectacular!!We rented golf carts and were able to explore the whole area. Our favorite restaurants were Coco Loco, Surfbox, and La Forketta. We also chartered a boat with Manta Ray Sailing for the day and it was everyone’s favorite. We swam at a private beach and snorkeled. Highly recommend this spot!!

Spectacular! Our family of 6 had an amazing time. The house was perfect. Pictures don’t do it justice. Incredible views and well-equipped kitchen. Pool is stunning. Beach access was great and the trek down from the house well worth it. Premier suite was amazing. Location is perfect. Rented golf carts and took them everywhere. Yessina was helpful and lovely. We will definitely be back! Thanks for an amazing stay!

The moment we opened the front door we couldn’t stop smiling! The pictures on the website don’t begin to capture its beauty and coziness. We were celebrating our 50 th anniversary with ages ranging from 18 to 79. We all had our private spaces and wonderful places to gather as a family. We rented a car and had no trouble navigating. We we going to rent a golf cart but discovered you have to be 21 to drive them. Our favorite restaurant was Oceana which is at the new marina. We actually went twice. The taco shop doesn’t look like much but was delicious and we brought our dinner home to the best view in the world. If you want an all day adventure we can’t recommend Pure Nature highly enough! Ou guide Livingston and his driver Orlando went above and beyond

Lovely home with beautiful views of ocean - pool clean and relaxing - to get to the beach from the house, however, there are 162 steps down to the gate - lots of bird watching too. the housekeeper is awesome and keeps everything fixed and cleaned every day - we loved our visit

Incredible view and atmosphere

The property was absolutely incredible. The view was unmatched and we spent the majority of our stay on the outside deck and pool enjoying the landscape. The homeowner was very helpful and communicative and the house manager was as well. The only thing that we struggled with was the heat. The house is hard to cool down but after a couple of days it was comfortable.

Fantastic location with epic views

We loved our stay at the Sunset Villa! We had five kids ranging from 7 to 12 and four adult adults. The pool was absolutely perfect. The views were stunning. The location was wonderful close to the grocery store and amigos. We’re so glad we rented the golf cart to get to and from the beach and to the store as the walks are steep. Flamingo Beach is the best of all worlds with a low-key vibe. Great dinner options within a 10 minute golf cart ride. We loved exploring the neighboring beaches as well. The house itself has three spacious bedrooms in the main house one spacious bedroom in the Casita and a master suite next to the pool. Yessina was fantastic throughout. We were a messy family having 5 kids and she made it still feel clean and like vacation!

Spectacular stay!!

Everything about our stay was perfect, the Villa is even more beautiful in person and you cannot beat the sunsets. From the moment we opened the door we were all in awe at how beautiful and clean the place was. Yesenia, comes daily and make sure that we have everything we need and she leaves the place sparkling clean. Our host was very responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend Sunset Villa. You will have a great time with the local beaches, and all the great restaurants right in the area.
