When we first arrived, Fernando was able to greet us at the home for a 9 am check-in, which was much appreciated. However, we were immediately told that the house key had been lost by the previous tenant. He advised us to leave the front door unlocked and just close the gate when leaving. He assured us he’d return shortly with new keys, but that never happened. He also mentioned the main floor central AC thermostat wasn’t working and that a repairman would come fix it. That never happened either.As a result, the bunk bed room, main floor entertainment area, and kitchen stayed uncomfortably hot throughout our stay. The pool had floating plastic in it when we arrived. Fernando said a pool tech would stop by later that day to clean and treat it. Once again, that never happened.Despite these things, we were easy going tenants. Ordering ride shares and food/grocery deliveries was also a hassle due to the strict security at the Pedregal neighborhood gate. The recommended villa driver was too expensive, and walking those steep hills was no joke.That said, the villa’s incredible ocean view made up for a lot. The gas grill worked great, beds were very comfy, the showers had hot water, & the kitchen was equipped enough for a few quick meals. The ice machine being out of service, was annoying in the heat when making drinks. A heads-up before check-in would have been cool. Still, the villa was a solid base camp for our group of 8 guys. Although a bit proud on pricing, Id stay again.
