Sisters (4 of us) Trip of a lifetime

Our stay in one word: WONDERFUL. I can't begin to say how fabulous our vacation was at Casa Cortez in Cabo Bello. First of all our host/property manager was so terrific I don't know what we would have done without her. Her name is Maricarmen and she was helpful in so many ways and would do anything to make our stay perfect, really going above and beyond what was expected. The property itself was breathtaking and even looked better than the pictures! The house was pristine and we felt like Royalty staying there for 7 days. There was a housekeeper who came everyday and did dishes, laundry, made beds, it was so great. It was like living in a 5 star hotel but better! When we arrived Maricarmen greeted us. We had been in touch a few months before our stay and she was incredibly helpful even then. We gave her a food & drink order and everything was there when we arrived. She ordered the cab from the airport (twice since one sister was delayed) so we didn't have to worry about anything. She also suggested many things to see and do since none of us had ever been to Cabo before. The house itself was a mansion and every bedroom and bathroom were amazing. I can't say enough good things about our stay. I can't wait to go back!

Amazing trip

This property is so amazing and we had the best time !! 4 couples and we had lots of room for everyone the pool and hot tub were amazing !! We had the chef two nights and the food was so good! I cannot express how helpful Maricarmen was !! She was there to help with every detail and the trip was even better because of her !!

Absolutely Perfect

All I can say is that I couldn't imagine having spent my 50th Birthday anywhere other than Casa Cortez! The house itself is nothing short of amazing but the staff was over-the-top! Dinorah and David gave us a world-class dining experience at every meal. Gustavo was a godsend and took care of our every need. But Maricarmen was the ultimate! She communicated with me through the entire process prior to our arrival and was waiting for us with a smile when we got to the house. She oversaw our private chef and our massage arrangements as well helped us with our transportation and our excursions. I could go on for days about Maricarmen and her staff because they took care of us as if we were family. And by the time we left, we were. 10 STARS for this property and the people who made it special. I will never forget the experience!

Exceptional

There were seven of us and we spent four nights at this wonderful house. It is a beautiful place and I cannot do justice to just how nice it is. It is a very short walk down to the beach, and it is not a crowded beach. However, for at least the time we were there, there was a heavy surf. Still, a beautiful and peaceful beach. There is simply nothing to complain about this house - we would all happily stay here again. We highly recommend!

Beautiful house, overly attentive host.

My husband and I and two other couples spent 5 fabulous days at Casa Cortez to celebrate my birthday. I’d been looking at this house for 3 years, and once Covid was done it was the first trip we booked. The house is absolutely gorgeous! From the entry to the roof, it was perfectly designed and we were all so impressed. The pool is delightful and makes you feel like you’re swimming in a tree house. The view is incomparable. All the rooms are well appointed and the kitchen is perfect for entertaining. Great location that is safe and convenient to all the best parts of Cabo. Our one area of complaint was the completely invasive and overbearing host who seemed to be constantly present, following us around to turn off lights, close windows, and make us feel like we had a babysitter. She had a housekeeper there for 6 hours each day (we were not messy!) and it seemed like she was waiting for us to mess things up. We are not a wild party group and this was a major annoyance. The worst day we had was when we actually did have a need to address with her because the coffee maker didn’t work the second morning. We sent her a video message to show her that it wasn’t brewing properly, and she promptly arrived and accused us of breaking it! We were not only shocked, but insulted and never would have imagined a scenario where this kind of response would be appropriate at a luxury vacation rental. She was attempting to make us pay for a new coffee maker until she decided it must have been the private chef’s fault who we had hired the day before. Needless to say, it was bizarre and very awkward and absolutely tarnished what was otherwise a very pleasant vacation. One can only imagine what would have happened if the fridge had stopped working…would we be accused and asked to pay for that?! My advice to the owner is to train the host to provide a seamless and pleasant welcome experience, and then tell her to stay away unless summoned. There is absolutely no need to have her visiting the house daily. It is an annoyance and an intrusion. The daily housekeeping could be scaled way back, as well. Having a housekeeper on-site for 6 hours each day is also a huge intrusion and made us feel like we were being watched. Bottom line, we would love to stay at Casa Cortez again if we knew that Maricarmen would not be onsite constantly making us feel like we couldn’t relax.

The best Cabo experience

When we arrived to the property, we were greeted by Maricarmen. She and I had already corresponded several times to get things lined up with the chef, groceries, and massages. Maricarmen was AMAZING! She was friendly, knowledgeable about anything we asked about, and was there daily by phone and in person to meet and exceed our needs. She was a huge reason we loved our experience and I will definitely see her again on another stay! Maricarmen schedule chef services for four nights of our stay. Our chef Dinorah and her team (Jose and David) were incredible. It was like fine dining from the comfort of our beautiful property. She was fun and friendly and even taught our friend how she made her specialty pasta. All of the food was incredible and Dinorah and team were so much fun to have around. Massage day was also incredible. It was relaxing and all of our party enjoyed the experience. The therapists took the time to get to know our needs and exceed our expectations. Again, amazing service from the comfort of the beautiful property. I can’t say enough about Maricarmen, the property and our stay. Our party of 7 all claim it to be our favorite vacation and we are planning a return!

We throughly enjoyed this beautiful and spacious home. We loved whale watching and woke up early each morning to watch the whales and birds and the sunrise. We didn’t want to miss anything! Awesome home!

Great stay

We loved staying at this villa and Maria the house manager was fantastic - filling the fridge for our arrival and arranging transportation. One slight annoyance was the amount of construction that was going on around the villa, but we drowned out the drilling by turning on the music speakers by the pool Highly recommened for security, lovely short walk to a swimable beach, nice restaurant right next door and fabulous grocery store across the highway.

Amazing

Our family of five had an absolute amazing vacation at this property. From on site massages, to the at home chef and pre arrival stocking, this was a trip of a lifetime. Property was perfect for our family, we were comfortable and enjoyed every minute. The property manager was a pleasure to work with and coordinated everything, including transportation, fishing excursions, the list goes on and on. Chef Dinora and her team are an absolute must.

First let me say the place is Beautiful! My husband & I stayed for 4 days 3 nights.. we only used one bedroom... we were greeted with massages (that was awesome) we spent most of our time outside the infinity pool & hot tub was Everything! My favorite part of the house was the rooftop it was a beautiful view & just relaxed... I will defintely rate this house as a 5*..... we will be back soon Thank You MariCarmen for having us!

Comforts of a hotel, privacy of a home

The home is comfortable and beautiful. Maria del Camen truly makes the experience amazing. Before our arrival, she assisted in the coordination of our airport transportation, groceries, in home meals, deep sea fishing and found us a family photographer. We met daily and she ensured our trip was all that we wanted it to be. She has great ideas to enhance your time in Cabo. The upstairs master suite is very private with great views. Our kids loved their rooms on the first floor. The pool and hot tub have fantastic views. We spent most of our time there. The taxi rides into town were very easy. We had several meals in the home. Our family especially loved waking up to breakfast in the home. Cleaning occurs daily, which our family of boys definitely needs. The only blemish on this outstanding stay occurred on the last night. The neighbors behind us held a party that was very large (I counted at least 50 people outside) that lasted until 4am. We contacted security three times and they would not break up the party. We had early flights the next day. We booked this home aware of the noise restrictions and were excited to have peace. I would still stay here again, but would just request more action for noise violations.

Amazing house in Cabo!

We traveled to Cabo for my daughter's 21st birthday and a family vacay combined. There were 6 of us and this house had lots of room and plenty of bathrooms! The house was very clean and well cared for. We absolutely loved the pool and jacuzzi, not to mention the views were amazing. Maricarmen, the house manager, made our trip even easier. She was there to take care of everything we needed from the private chef to any excursions or transportation. She is definitely one reason I would choose this house again. Definintely a bonus having her! She rocked!

Unfortunately the property manager turned a 5 star experience into a 2-3 star one. She is rude, constantly intrusive and embarrassed me when 3 friends stopped by. The first couple of days she was more of a warden than a host. Finally I insisted that she not speak to me or my family when & if she needed to be in the house.

Absolute Perfection

Beware! Once you spend time at the Casa Cortez, no other accommodations will be good enough! I just spent an amazing week with my sister and her family at Casa Cortez. It was one of the best vacations I've taken in a long time for many reasons. Casa Cortez is a gorgeous, well-appointed home overlooking the Sea of Cortez. The home is designed to relax and enjoy with spacious bedrooms/bathrooms, a kitchen and family room that open onto the lanai with the infinity pool, spa, and BBQ. And, a couple of quiet outdoor nooks to chill and enjoy the view. It is located in an ideal location - a stroll away from a fabulous, private beach (both for swimming and snorkeling), and a quick Uber ride to downtown Cabo. San Jose del Cabo is about a 15 minute drive. In addition to all of this awesomeness, there are Maricarmen and Susana. These ladies are delightful, helpful and almost magically efficient. Maricarmen can answer all questions and make fabulous recommendations. And, she makes sure everything is perfect! Susana takes care of the housekeeping, and this home is spotless. She was also very patient with me trying to practice my Spanish. ;) I cannot wait to return to this Mexican paradise!

Paradise

This was a perfect place for our family. The home is immaculate and well maintained, and although it's very large, it still seems intimate. Everyone had their own bedrooms and bathrooms which are spacious and separate, but the gathering spaces...living, dining, poolside are big enough to be comfortable without being too big. We spent our days in and around the pool and hot tub listening to music and enjoying each other's company, along with a few margaritas! The views are spectacular and we saw lots of whales. Maricarmen and Suzanna take care of your every need before, during and after your arrival. Their attention to detail is very much appreciated. We chose to have Chef Dinora cook for us and the meals were amazing. We felt safe and extremely pampered. This place is something special. We're already talking about returning next year!

Stunning Fully Appointed Home

Our family thoroughly enjoyed Casa Cortez. The house was gorgeous and the pictures are reflective of the beauty of the area and the home. The house is in a gated area within a gated community making us feel extra secure. The view was phenomenal with easy beach access within walking distance. The first floor consisted of three bedrooms including a master with patio access. All had a private bath with Moulton Brown products for a touch of luxury. The twin beds were best suited for smaller children but other than that it was perfect. The second (main) floor had another amazing master with beautiful ocean view , private bath w/vanity/tub/separate shower and a huge walk-in closet. The lush towels and terry robes were a nice touch.The main areas included a large living room with DishTV, ample kitchen with dining area, outdoor breakfast nook, rooftop terrace, and of course the highlight for us with the pool area featuring the ocean view with outdoor kitchen. The garage had remote control and fit our rented Suburban. The location was perfect in between Cabo San Lucas & San Jose. Just a short drive away was Costco, Walmart, nearby resorts with great restaurants and just about anything else you'd need.And last, but certainly not least, is the above and beyond hospitality given by Maricarmen & Suzanne. These ladies made sure everything was on-point, explained everything in detail, and were a mere phone call away if we needed anything even after hours.Thank you for making us feel truly at home during our Cabo experience!

Christmas Couldn't Have Been Better at Casa Cortez

We had the best time at Casa Cortez from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by MariCarmen who gave us a very informative tour of the house and who proceeded to take care of any and every need we had throughout the trip. The house itself was beautiful and in the perfect location. The private beach was just a few minutes walk away and was ideal. Our family of 7 fit perfectly in the house, there was plenty of space for everyone. The infinity pool provided amazing views of the ocean from sunrise to sunset. We had the chef cook for us the night we arrived and the food was phenomenal. I would highly recommend taking advantage of this when you go. We would rent this house every time we go to Cabo!!

Heaven on Earth

This is one place I will return to as many times as possible. The house is gorgeous, private, comfortable, and the location is perfect. Just hanging out and looking at the view would be enough, and then everything else anyone could want is literally a few minutes away. I always feel like royalty when I am here.!

Amazing!

First time renting a house in Cabo and glad we did. My wife and along with another couple rented Casa Cortez for 5 nights and was impressed from the very beginning. Beautiful place in a perfect setting. MarieCarmen will make you feel at home and provide you anything you need at any hour with a smile. Housekeeping was exceptional. Do yourself a favor and have the chef for at least one day, you will not be disappointed.
