Lugar tranquilo

La casa es ideal para ir en familia o con varios amigos. Está cerca de las principales atracciones de Monteverde si se tiene un vehículo propio, y a la vez está alejada de cualquier centro poblacional, lo cual proporciona tranquilidad si eso es lo que se quiere.

Lots of space and a very nice property, would absolutely rent again. Kitchen had decent cookware and I liked that it was fairly remote as I don't like to be in busy areas. Be advised that the lighting inside isn't the best, especially in the main living room. When I booked this VRBO it said that it had laundry but this is not the case. I asked the host about it (and he was very communicative and nice) and he said that we could leave it in a pile by the door and the cleaning person would do it for us. That would have been great but the pile was still there when we got back that night so we weren't able to do laundry. Overall a great value and I highly recommend!

One of the best place to stay in Monteverde, our host Kenneth was so easy to work with he knows his spots around the house he gave us amazing recommendations. The house itself is absolutely magnificent, if you are lucky you get to enjoy the morning coffee on the front porch and the absolutely cute and nicest dog Bella comes to chill with you. Peaceful, breathtaking and the people are amazing. Will definitely go back one day

This was such a wonderful place to stay for the 2 days we spent in Monte Verde. It’s not that far from town and gave us the seclusion that we were looking for. The house is so open with balconies and windows allowing you to enjoy the beauty that surrounds the property. Ken, the host is extremely friendly and full of knowledge. He responded very quickly to any question we had. The house is clean, the beds are comfy and there’s hot water! We would love to come back and spend a week at this hidden jewel and definitely recommend it to others.

Ken and his family were amazing! We were stuck at the car rental for hours and he assisted us with finding a hotel for the night. The plantation is beautiful! The house is rustic and perfect for the location. We enjoyed time on the porch at sunset and in the morning with our coffee. The house is comfortable and relaxing.

Ken was amazing. Very responsive and helpful!The bathroom next to the kitchen was really smelly, something going on there!? The house was a bit tired and needed some attention, especially the bathrooms. Lacked some important kitchen items...a toaster, sugar, salt and pepper!Had fun going and seeing how the coffee beans were processed. Views were beautiful, but had to walk to see them!

Truly one of the most magical places we’ve ever stayed. The views are spectacular, the house is a one of a kind gem, the walks around the coffee farm are unforgettable, Bella is the sweetest dog and Ken is one of the kindest, most hospitable hosts. Stop looking at other places and book this one. Also, for the birdwatchers, this place is such a delight. Any hour of the day you’ll see jays, warblers, toucans and wrens passing round the house. Walking the coffee farm you’ll find even more. Ken is an AMAZING host with excellent recommendations for sights to see and restaurants in the area (and throughout the country). He never steered us anywhere but to the awesome! The house is huge and beds were comfortable. We ate pit except for breakfast. Kitchen has all that you really need, but is a bit non-traditional (true to the pictures). No AC, but it is cooler up in the trees and it was pleasant at night with ceiling fans. Nice, hot showers after a day of adventures. We would definitely stay again!

The home was very clean and is an old style ranch type home. Great communication by the host. They did a load of laundry which was needed and appreciated. There is only 1 bedroom downstairs and both bathrooms are downstairs, so everybody sleeping upstairs will need to go downstairs to use the bathroom during the night. The stairs are steep and narrow and one stair was broken with tape on it and had to be used on the side only - I'm sure this will be fixed as everything else was in good order. This is a cloud forest so houses get musty with the humidity - just part of Costa Rica. All floors are wood boards. We had a heavy man (250 lb. body builder) who did not feel the weight of the boards could handle so he stayed downstairs. Location is 20 minutes to Santa Elena. Host recommended a restaurant just down the road that was incredible. Bella the german shepherd dog is very friendly and visits and they also have a McCaw parrot.

Host was amazing. We had car trouble on the way and he helped us translate with the roadside assistance gentleman and made sure we were taken care of once we did finally get to the house at midnight. Ugh Excellent communication and extremely helpful and knowledgeable!!

Great hospitality

Ken and Juan were outgoing hosts eager to make our stay great. The artisan home is welcoming. The grounds are beautiful. We appreciated the use of the laundry. We absolutely loved El Despacio cafe down the street. We played games and enjoyed the view as the chef made meals for each of us so good we returned the next night and all ordered the same dishes.

Perfect Monteverde

We loved our stay. Close to Monteverde for lots of outings. It only takes about 15 min to drive. We enjoyed our walks with Bella the Shepard through the coffee fields and listening to Coco the blue and gold macaw call for her back. Ken was great and always available if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again!

Family trip to Costa Rica

It is very unique house.Beautifully build by local builders who used local wood.It is spacious well equipped .Ken and his Family were very helpful during our short stay.If we visit this area again we would like to stay there again.
