We visited the DR after many trips to Cancun and Isla Mujeres. Originally were booked at a hotel in Sosua, which was unfortunately at the time not as advertised online, so we made the decision to check out and find something else last minute. Which ended up being the best thing that could have happened to us.
The pictures of this place really don’t do it justice. I would say it was an 11/10. On the beach. Water (ocean) is a little rough here, but overall it wasn’t bad. Has a pool and a hot tub which were both clean and well kept. They keep the room stocked with drinking water which was a nice bonus for us.
We were a couple, and there were 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and all the necessities needed for cooking, etc. AC worked well and the WiFi was great throughout the area and out to the beach area. A couple restaurants on the beach which we found to be adequate for our needs.
As visitors, we speak very little Spanish but found the staff to be as friendly as they come and willing to help out however they are needed. Check-in/check out process was a breeze.
When we come back to the DR we will definitely be staying here again.
Just to manage expectations. This is not a 5 star resort, this is in a foreign, not as well established country. They have occasional power outages. Frequent storms. Air conditioning may not be perfect, and the tv’s may not work but this place was paradise for us.
