It is a different vibe. It’s like our staying in a cottage in the jungle. Therefore it is rustic which is fine. It was surface clean. What was bad was what I would call deep cleaning. The fans had not been cleaned n a long time. There were a lot of spider webs on the ceilings and corners. The light fixtures were like the fans. Tje curtains were people are opening with their hands were very dirty. The couch thing was so hard.

There was no Air Conditioning, and no mention of it on the Hotels.com listing. Very disappointing given the price point and climate.

Cute 2 storey bungalow in a tropical forest setting. Walkable distance to main shops. Quiet and private. Perfect getaway place for those that get into nature.

Very cool property but it was very much in need of a deep cleaning - a scary amount of dust in the vents and slotted doors. The cabinets were dirty too. Corners on the floor were in need of some detailed cleaning as well as the furniture outside. Otherwise it was a cool place for sure. The camp behind it got a little noisy at night…

The two-bedroom Buree was excellent. The setting was really beautiful. The one-bedroom Buree was cute but my husband (77) really didn't feel safe using the narrow spiral staircase up to the bedroom. Not sure if I missed that bit in the description when I booked. The wooden walking path to our Buree was definitely unsafe and if workplace safety inspectors saw it, the place would be closed down until repaired. Luckily the lighting was good so we avoided falling and tripping.

2nd time staying in a Buree. First time was great, 2nd time we stayed in the exact same buree (no 1) and this time there was an issue with constant water running noises. As there is a water feature turned on during the day, it wasn’t noticeable at first. Only noticed when the water feature turned off. The water running noises came from piping inside the walls and were quiet loud. I could even hear it through my ear plugs. This time we tried to watch TV and the TV wasn’t working either. Not good enough for nearly 300 AUD per night. No reception staff available either to resolve issues

Little slice of heaven
I love this little hideaway so much I’m scared to recommend! I’d hate too many folks to find this slice of heaven. The outdoor bathroom is a standout for me!

Very peaceful and quiet. But staircase so small can't get luggage upstairs to the bedroom. Virtually no hanging space whatseover; just hoem hooks.

A bit of Ubud in Byron
A great quiet place away from the hustle of the main beach side but still 10 minutes walk to town. Love the outdoor shower and adjacent stream. Nice separation of the bedroom upstairs and downstairs living area. Helpful and friendly staff who leave you alone but there when you need them.

Exceptional customer service, rooms and grounds
The place itself was beautiful and warranted five stars for this reason alone. However, the Garden Burees has exceptional customer service and seamlessly and kindly accommodated a last minute change to my booking due to an unforeseen issue. Stop looking at places to stay and do yourself a favor by staying at this lovely and beautiful place!

The property really captures the look and feel of Bali. The outdoor shower amongst the garden and the rivulet was a highlight. WiFi didn't work, however.

Lovely bush surrounds. The amenities are more limited than the listing lets on. The pictures are for the Grand Buree which is much grander, The shower is outdoors only and the bed is on a mezzanine up very steep spiral staircase with bathroom downstairs so be careful getting up for a pee in the middle of the night! Otherwise, nicely situated a short walk to town and the beach. Very quiet, surrounded by nature, calming and relaxing place to stay.

Wir haben die Unterkunft für eine Nacht gebucht und haben in "Made" geschlafen. Die Parkplätze befinden sich direkt am Eingang, mit großem Gepäck sollte man nicht anreisen, da man einige Meter uneben zu den Burees geht. Es ist ein wenig einem Dschungel nachempfunden. Man hat einen kleinen Vorgarten mit zwei Stühlen und kommt dann in seinen privaten Maisonette-Bereich. Es gibt eine kleine Küche u.a. mit zwei Herdplatten und einer kleinen Kaffeekapselmaschine. Im Bad gibt es sogar eine riesige Wanne und Kerzen, welche wir nicht genutzt haben, die Duschen befinden sich davor im Freien. Wir standen morgens unter Beobachtung eines Gekkos. Der Schlafbereich mit großem TV ist über eine schmale Wendeltreppe zu erreichen. Es gibt viele Fenster, die man allerdings nicht alle abdunkeln kann. Man kann oben und unten durch die Fliegenschutzgitter gut lüften und benötigt keine Klimaanlage. Alles war sauber und das WLAN sehr gut.

Really had a great Bali vibe. Packed a lot into a relatively small area. Having the small gardens, outside shower, spiral staircase, useful facilities and resident water monitor made for a fabulous stay. Relatively short walk to the town centre. Excellent welcome, friendly, helpful staff.

This was my second time staying at this property and it was as enjoyable this time as the first. The room was very clean, Peggy at reception was very friendly and even phoned me to let me know I’d left my earrings there after checkout. It’s an approx 15 minute walk to town and the beach. It feels like you are in your own little world inside the room because it’s very peaceful and the view from the windows is trees. The Balinese decor makes it feel that much more serene and relaxing. Would recommend staying here to anyone wanting a relaxing room to retreat to while visiting Byron

Had the most amazing stay in Byron. The villa was located so close to town. The accommodation had everything you need bike hire, parking, jetted hot tub, robes, candles and incense, coffee pod machine, heated floors even l'occitane soap and shampoo. Everything was thought of. The view of the rainforest from your bedroom and the bathroom was so relaxing, made you feel like you were overseas in Bali. Was easy to check in after hours Definitely will be coming back!

The property is just magnificent, we will have a really tough time trying to find accomodation in future that feels as luxurious, private and magical as the grand buree. This place sets the bar high!

Felt like we were in Bali! Beautiful Bali style buree with spa bath & outdoor shower that looked onto our own piece of rainforest. The queen bed is very comfy and looked out over the rainforest too. Very private and relaxing, would definitely stay again!
