This place is absolutely amazing. If you are looking for peaceful and relaxing, this is it. The views from the upper deck are great. Susan is an excellent host. Everything you need is provided. Great communication and quick to respond. Very flexible and no strict instructions for check out, like most VRBO hosts. The house is pretty remote, but close to a marina. Depending where you are coming from, the closest big box grocery store and/or dining is about an hour away. But if you pre plan, it's all good. We stopped on our way in and got groceries to make meals for our stay. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Perfect Tennessee Lake Getaway

My family and I stayed for 5 nights and we couldnt have loved it more. The views from the upper deck were breathtaking, and the property itself was everything you could need for a lake getaway.There are a couple of things you should know before you go though. This house is in the hills of Tennessee. If you cant live without phone reception, its not for you. There is a ton to do and there is wifi, but cell service is spotty. Thats part of what makes it magical.The drive from the main town to the house is beautiful and curvy. The road the house is on is small and large vehicles may want to take it slow. There is no big box store within 30 miles. Drives to walmart take at least 40 minutes. There is a nice IGA up the road about 15 minutes for groceries, but not much in the way of restaurants. Be prepared to make good use of the kitchen. Overall, we absolutely adored our time there and cant wait to go back.

Quiet space

Was a very quiet area,good games in the home,boat ramp 1/2mile away. The trail to the lake is down the road and we never found it,if bringing a boat theres not easy accessible patking for it.all in all was a good place to stay,not alot to do in the area!

Wonderful home

Everything was clean and convenient. The beds were very comfortable and the home had a lot of room to relax and enjoy the lake. The host was very accommodating and responsive to any need or request. Will stay again.

Fantastic place!

The home is large and well kept. We took our grown kids and 2.5 yr old granddaughter and had a ball. We fished a lot and ate a lot. The hot tub was perfect and we played many games of billiards. The house reminded us all of Grandpa Fred’s house. A bit nostalgic since we lost him in 2020. I highly recommend staying here!

Time Away

This property was great! The house was clean and spacious. We enjoyed mornings on the deck overlooking Dale Hollow Lake. The teens enjoyed the lower level with a pool table and foosball. Communication was easy with quick responses. We definitely recommend this property!

Beautiful View, Comfortable Stay!

First, the view…it’s gorgeous! The deck was for sure our favorite place to hang out. We had a really hot and humid week, so the hot tub wasn’t as much of interest but it was very nice. The master bedroom was spacious and the bed was comfy, we slept well. Susan was quick with communication and helpful throughout our stay. We really appreciated that so much! Just a few notes for future visitors…There is no shower in the master bathroom so that put us in the hall bath for showers. In addition, there is not actually a 3rd bedroom. The basement has sleeping accommodations as advertised and a bathroom, but being a rec area and is hard to have privacy there. Somehow I just didn’t notice this until right before our visit. Our young adults had a good time, but we had to travel a bit to take them to things to entertain them some of the time. If you have a boat and will be on the lake most days or want a secluded quiet place, this place is perfect! If you have high energy folks who want to be where the people are, stay in a busier area. We made great memories and enjoyed our visit.

Great place to relax!

A very beautiful, peaceful, and private place that we enjoyed to the fullest! This place was very clean, with wonderful amenities. And with fantastic views and great location, what more could anyone want? An exceptional Host/Hostess? No worries! You get that too with this vacation home. Thanks Susan, for making this great place available to us vacationers! Overall, we had a great time and hope to return someday to enjoy it once more!

The views are great

I believe in leaving the positives and negatives on my reviews bc I’m BIG on reading reviews before choosing a place to stay. So I’ll start with my positive. The views are amazing, property has plenty of space to space out and lounge around. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you may think to need!! The garden tub was a big plus for me. The Wi-Fi was good and tv has plenty of channels to watch. The outdoor patio by the entrance was a great place to sit and watch the road. The game room has plenty entertainment. And lastly the host communication was good as well. Now to my negative. There was no firewood provided!! My biggest and really only complaint. It was so disappointing bc there is two wood burning fireplaces and a fire pit on the back porch!! So I was sure for there would be firewood provided, especially for the price I paid. And bc it was almost freezing on the lower level. With it being so cold down there, it kind of turned the place into a two bedroom to be able to sleep comfortably at night. The patio furniture could use some updating or actually the house overall can use a little updating. The hanging speakers with the wires showing was a hard pass for me. There were dead bugs in the window seal by the tub. We couldn’t get the hot tub to get heated pass 93 so we didn’t really use it much as we would have liked. Oh and hiking to that beautiful water that doesn’t seem so far away, isn’t going to happen!!! Maybe bc we’re not experienced. We probably wouldn’t stay again but it’s bc we’re into the more modern look. But we enjoyed ourselves overall.

Amazing Location and stay

This house was the perfect size for our group. The deck space was great for evening cooking and dining and the location to Eagles Cove Marina was perfect. Beautiful views of the lake and nice and private. Perfect Lake stay!

Issue With Upper Deck

We found the upper deck to be quite dangerous. It is built at two levels. The top level has a drop off of 3 feet on either side of the steps to the lower level. There is nothing to prevent someone from stepping off and taking a significant fall.

Spectacular View

The home was spacious with a great open layout on the main floor. The views were gorgeous and the multi-level deck was such a relaxing place to have a cup of coffee before hitting the lake. It's very close and convenient to Eagle's Cove Marina. The hostess was superb at communicating. We will be back!
