"The cottage has a open plan, it had a large stunning wood burning stove ,with wood mantelpiece and bricks, Kitchen with a island table with plenty cupboards space , with pots and pans , Dishes glasses, oven, microwave, hob coffee maker ,toaster and a kettle, Kings size bed ,two bedrooms both with ensuite bathroom, dining area They have thought of everything, from cleaning materials to towels hoover and floor mop , place is impeccable very clean , welcome basket with wine and biscuits. "Stayed here many times but disappointed the room (carpet) didn't look clean, bathroom, this is only room with a bath and this will be the third time I've had this room and the bath taps don't work you can only use the shower. Previously I've had water in the room but not this time. Didn't look like the tea, coffee, etc. had been topped up"

"I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. "Nice hotel in quiet location with lovely outside area. One member of hotel staff unhelpful when we advised that the WiFi was unavailable. Good evening meal, breakfast offered a reasonable choice but cooked option wasn’t great. Good hotel for the money though."

"Claire was very welcoming. The room was spacious and clean with a view of the beautiful garden. She did a typical English breakfast which was delicious with fresh fruit and other goodies. I would recommend."
