"We had a very warm welcome from the friendly staff and were shown to the room which was clean and bright. The food that evening was excellent, and as it was a warm evening we spent a pleasant time sitting outside with our drinks afterwards. Continental breakfast was served promptly at 8 am and the addition of fresh strawberries and blueberries was a definite plus! Check in / check out was swift and efficient. The room was a decent size and reasonably clean, but given the weather, which is it being made up with a duvet and no sheet underneath (between that and the bed). "Upon arrival there was a queue to check in with no staff at reception. After a short wait I went to find someone. Was told by the bar staff member he would come once he had served at bar. Shower didn't work in room so had to be moved to another. There was running water in this room however more of a drizzle out the shower so impossible to use. Toilet roll holder broken. Very run down and needs a lot of money spending on it. Breakfast in morning wasn't the best either. Me and my husband left...

"The hotel is a seventeenth century building and has a stylish interior. The staff are very helpful and make you feel welcome at the hotel. This is a four star hotel. The room I was in was comfortable and with a very clean bathroom. Food is served most of the day seven days a week and it is very appetising and portions of food are generous. The menus are diverse there is something for every taste. This hotel is close to all the shops, and transport hubs. "
