Shou yan is a great host. Welcoming and friendly. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Laundry access easy and smooth. Walls are thin and the house was a normal cleanliness level for a lived in house. 10 minute walk to the lake beach was convenient and 10 min walk to grocery store.

Not a great experience. Host was friendly, but left no check-in instructions.Ran out of toilet paper and had to search for something ;found baby wipesNice that it was close to the lake and a pretty neighborhood.

The room was quiant, cozy and clean. Also, the screen windows allowed a cool, shore side breeze making topping off the calming nature noises. The bathroom and shower additionally was clean and plenty of space. In terms of area, it was nicely located near a gorgeous park trail and beach within walking distance, not to mention only being mere blocks away from a bus stop getting you into town in decent time. It's a good choice whether you have a car/rental, or enjoy getting around on your feet. Extremely cyclist friendly! One more thing I should add is it should be made more clear that it's a room being rented, in the host's house, who actively lives there (In the Vrbo description, it advertised you would have the whole place to yourself) but they were pleasant, quiet, and did their own thing. I felt safe in the area, and in the house and did not take much away from my stay. If you enjoy a comforting stay in calm breezy neighborhood surrounded by nature anywhere you set your eyes, I would highly recommend this place to you.
