Nice Location near Restaurants and Waterfront
Kudos to the afternoon on-site manager: She calmly and skillfully managed a sold-out hotel during a multi-hour, city-wide power outage. Although she had to deal with so much, she was so patient and kind when we returned to the dark hotel after eating at a nearby restaurant. She personally showed us to the stairway to our room and made sure we were comfortable and safe.

The room was very generous in size, comfy enormous bed, and a lovely view. A balcony would have enhanced our stay. Maybe next time, as we would definitely visit again

Staff were friendly and attentive. Location was ideal with small a small beach at the back of property. Very quiet and providing under cover car parking was a treat considering the temperatures were around 38C. i would definitely stay again.

I love staying at Bunbury Hotel Koombana Bay. The rooms are incredibly generous in size with great facilities. The views can be found exceptional if you're lucky enough to get a bay view. Staff are warm and friendly and never too busy to help. Check in and check out process is very smooth. Food is delicious and room service has always been quick. Can't fault the place at all.

We had a clean, comfortable room with a view of Bunbury. The pool area was clean and enjoyable and dinner in the restaurant was OK.

I have stayed in this hotel 5 times prior to my recent booking and this by far was the worst experience ive had. Not only did our room have issue after issue including a safe issue, window not closing, the shower being dirty and the tv not working - reception failed to reverse my bond of $300 and i had to call numerous times to follow up for this to be actioned. I requested to move rooms, which they approved but that didnt happen until 4.45pm when check in time is 1pm. We were not compensated in any type of way for these inconveniences. In the future, we will not be booking with this hotel again.

all good, just one minor silliness
we were in a deluxe room with kitchenette. all good. Great stay, no complaints re hotel. MINOR. Our breakfast was not included (that's fine too), but we decided to indulge anyway and paid $30 each for it I don't eat much, but my wife enjoys breakfast. However, I thought it was extremely bizarre that they only allowed one cup of coffee in that $30 each, then charged $5 on top for all subsequent ones. Don't get me wrong, staff were great, but there is obviously some very petty scabby owner behind it as they were quite apologetic about it... Seems the sort of foolish decision where it obliterates everything good in one fell swoop... just petty.

Nice hotel except for noise
The room was lovely and comfortable. I am not sure who we had above us but it sounded like they were playing a game of rugby constantly banging and thudding throughout the night and the day. We ended up leaving the last night because it was unbearable. There was also a lot of noise from the pub across the road until late. Maybe the rooms on the other side are quieter?

We were given a disability access room- was not requested nor required. Not an issue except the bathroom floor was flooded after showers because there was no shower edging. Not impressed with the security bond amount of $300. Was more than the room cost and 5 business days later I’m still waiting for refund to be in my account.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was great and included a proper barista coffee. I was very disappointed that the spa pool was out of order and it was not mentioned at the time of booking. That was one of the reasons I booked there. The indoor pool temperature was not very warm and would have been nicer if it was a few degrees warmer. The aircon in the room was very noisy. Overall was nice stay.
