We had such a wonderful stay at this lake house on Lake Anna! Andy (the owner) and Susan (the manager) were incredibly responsive and accommodating, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The house itself was clean, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The views of the lake were absolutely breathtaking—especially at sunrise and sunset. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be renting again in the future!

Truly one of the most beautiful lake front properties. The home is clean with everything you could need inside and out to enjoy lake life! The host and his team were great to work with. The home was clean with more than enough space for a large family vacation! From grandparents to teens and babies the home was perfect for all!

We arrived at Wine Down at 4 pm for check-in with the code lock set to the 4 digits sent to me that day. What we found was an exquisite beautiful house with tall ceilings, fans running in every room, a modern kitchen with a fully decked drawers full of kitchens tools, eating ware, skillets, serving bowls and platters, you name it, it was well stocked! And the open concept design of kitchen to dining to living room provided such warm connection where everyone could relax and enjoy each other’s company. The bedrooms were those you would find in a luxury hotel with modern furniture, bed covers any pillows matched to the soft colors of the room. The bathrooms were also modern with clean lines and practical with motion lighting as you entered.We rented the week a tumultuous stormarrived knocking out the electricity in the area. Fortunately they thought of everythiny during this extreme heat wave of close to 100 degree temperature by the installed outside generator to keep the air condition running and to keep the lights on and even the microwave. The next day we had full power without a hitch. Susan kept us informed, had maintenance to check the generator and she was always a phone call away. I don’t think I ever got a busy signal or voicemail message, she answered my call in the first few rings. 5 stars!Overall, it was an oasis with so much privacy from the neighbors plus a beautiful view of the lake.

Perfect!!

We LOVED our stay and everything about this house. The property was absolutely gorgeous. We had a small wedding on the property and it turned out more perfect than I could have imagined. The lighting and decor in the house was beautifully thought out. I would definitely recommend this house!!

Beautiful

Lovely place- view is incredible and we comfortably fit 4 families with grown kids (16 people) to celebrate Thanksgiving. Not sure we could have slept 20 as listed- had to use air mattresses to supplement bed space with grown boys. Video game systems weren’t functional - not a disaster aid course but a couple of the college kids in our group were disappointed.

Perfect Place for a Wedding

We were shocked at how beautiful and huge this house was. The space of each floor, the rooms, living rooms, kitchen, patio, hot tub, the view, deck, etc really exceeded our expectations. The firepit was a hit, the hot tub was HOT and the sunset view was the best. If you have any hesitations about the space or accommodations, tuck it away and book this place!!! We had about 65 people who attended and everybody seemed to enjoy their time with us. We loved it. The host Andy and Manager, Susan, worked with us to make sure we were comfortable and answered all our questions. Our family and friends enjoyed our wedding day and were very impressed how beautiful this place was and beats the price, view and homey-ness of any venue.

Spectacular property

I was greeted at the house by Susan, and she walked me through everything I needed to know. When I drove up, the view took my breath away. We hosted a family reunion and the kitchen was perfect for cooking for a crowd. The swim spa was such a treat. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were huge! This is a special place.

Very impressed with the property, the lake and the boats. the manager of the property was very good also. loved the shadow sport boat , but disappointed there wasn't a marina on the lake, so had to use some old gas cans to get gas at the local gas station.

Spring break relaxation

Susan was wonderful and responsive. The privacy at the property is exactly what we were looking for in a home away from home. The kitchen and outdoor area were super fun for cooking and enjoying time with extended family. We would love to go back again!

Yearly family vacation

There were 11 of us, loved the layout, and plenty of space for everyone. House had many up to date and convenient features. Enjoyed the use of paddle boards, kayak, and spa. Semi secluded so we didn’t feel like we were on top of the neighbors. Susan was there when we got there, she explained how to work a few items, which was very helpful. The only issue we had was on the 3rd floor, room was very warm even with the little window ac unit running. Family is already talking about coming next year.

Dalton Gang Reunion

We had four generations of Dalton women from MD and VA. Ages 4-87! The absolute, best weekend ever! House is perfect and the kids loved the outdoor space. Paddle boats got a work out. Just wonderful Andy. Only suggestion is some outdoor solar lighting leading to firepit and below. Us old girls can’t see as well as we need to in the dark. Sunrise and sunsets were breath taking. Already planning our return next year for 2nd annual trip.

Wedding

We found this place after our previous wedding venue didn't work out. This location is exactly what we were looking for! Gorgeous views, large patio for dancing, very private. We prepared our own food, and a kitchen with two ovens and dishwashers were very appreciated. The A/C was broken and it was a particularly hot weekend. Aside from that, everything was perfect. Would have a wedding here again in a heartbeat, highly recommended!
