The good: The bedding was comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with basic utensils that made it easy to cook, and the hot tub worked. The bad: the pool table felt was ripped in several places and the whole table was not level so it was unusable. The air hockey table didn’t work. The basketball game didn’t work. The covered patio on the dock has giant rips in the screens that let the bugs in rendering it useless. The house itself is very noisy. You can hear every sound inside and out wherever you are on the property. If someone is watching a movie in the basement at a reasonable sound level, do not expect to go to bed upstairs, you will hear everything clearly. The dangerous: The red kayak has a hole in it that’s in an inconspicuous spot so isn’t noticeable until you’re out on the lake taking on water. We were able to get a tow back to shore and salvage the kayak but it was a scary event that no one will soon forget. Forgo this property if it’s the amenities you are interested in. It works as a basic house.

Family Christmas at LKA

Our family stayed over Christmas 2024. The house was clean and spacious enough for our 6 adults, 14 month old, and our family dog. The basement has a game room (game tables are as described in the listing) perfect for kids and adults. The house is located close to a shopping center with a Food Lion and pizza take out. We would stay here again.

Beautiful home, view, and grounds, but could use a little TLC

We stayed for a week at this lovely lakefront property with our adult family of four and our two dogs. It's in a fantastic location for families with pets, offering beautiful grounds and a spacious home. While the lake was dealing with some bacteria issues, we still enjoyed using the kayaks and even borrowed a pontoon boat for the week. Though the fishing wasn’t great, the weather was perfect, and we made good use of the comfortable outdoor furniture and the hot tub. After what was likely a busy rental season, the home could benefit from some TLC. The paint on the kitchen cabinets is very chipped, some kitchenware was lacking, and there was a mismatched set of glassware. The blender was missing its vessel, the kitchen fridge/freezer was a bit unreliable (though there is a second fridge on the screened porch), and the dishwasher wasn’t performing well. Despite these minor issues, we loved the home and had a wonderful week filled with reading, boating, and relaxing.

Had a nice time

We had a nice time, the house was a great size for my family of four and our dogs. I wish there had been a king size bed though, all rooms just had queens (or bunks). We’d love to come back when it’s warm and not raining…end of March the water was about 64 degrees so too cold to get in (although my hubby and kids did a few cold plunges). The hot tub was great, and the dock and boat house were nice. We brought our own kayaks and were able to do that a bit. It’s super easy to walk down the yard into the water. Kitchen was a good size as were bedrooms and bathrooms. House was clean and comfortable and the back deck is nice and big. Underneath patio was nice too with swinging chairs. The neighborhood is quiet and private.

Perfect for a relaxing weekend with family & friends

Beautiful, spacious house with an incredible view of the lake. We loved the floor-to-ceiling windows, the new deck, the screened porch, and the hot tub. The kids enjoyed having the first floor - with pool, air hockey, foos ball, and their own TV and fireplace - all to themselves. We also appreciated that it was dog friendly. Everything was clean and in great shape, with plenty of bathrooms.

Quick getaway

We enjoyed our stay! The home was spacious and we loved the view of the water! The refrigerator temperature was not very cold so we used our cooler as a backup. Later saw that an additional refrigerator was on the porch. Nice stay overall!

Wonderful Family Time!

What a great place to bring the family together!...something for everyone. Everything was in perfect working order. The screened porch on the dock was the biggest hit. We fished (caught a couple nice ones), canoed and kayak'ed and spent time around the fire-pit every night. Definitely on our return list.

AMAZING!!!

This place is amazing. As soon as we walked in the views were beautiful. We all had so much fun Fom kayaking, renting a jet ski, jumping off the dock and swimming in the lake. Floating on rafts all day. The game room was a huge hit and the karoke machine was great! The kitchen was amazing and has everything imaginable. We took a day and went tothe Metro Richmond Zoo. It was super nice. Also if you get a chance get some ice cream at Moo Thru. This place was definitely worth going to and we will be going back next year. The weather was perfect every day as well.This is the place to be!

Spring stay at the lake

The property was very nice. Easy access to the water and use of the kayaks. The outside deck was in rough shape. Sleeping accommodations were great for everyone. There were issues that were not addressed even after a call to Vacasa. One handle on the refrigerator was missing as well as the seal around the door. A check with a digital thermometer showed the temperature fluctuated and did not remain cold enough for food safety. We were able to use the porch fridge fortunately. Also, the garbage disposal did not work. There were a few minor things also such as the garbage can was missing the foot peddle. If these issues were fixed, we would consider staying there again.

Very Lovely Home

My family and I had such a great quiet stay here! The listing is exactly as described. Very private, secluded, quiet and fun! My husband and I enjoyed ourselves on the lake in the kayaks. We had an overall great stay!
