Love this little town Buena Vista

It was all we needed .Restaurant and bars within walking distance. Monarch Park 45 min to ski or dog sled. Salida about the same distance for beautiful views.

Lovely Cabins close to town

We had a great stay at the Piñon Court Cabins. They were walking distance from the Main Street & Eddyline Brewery. They're in great condition for their age, comfortable and adorable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few nice meals in, and it was so nice to be able to have our dogs stay with us. Buena Vista is such a nice place to stay. We will most certainly be back!

Cute kitchy cabins close to entertainment and adventure. We stayed here and saw a show at the Lariat. The owners are super friendly. Would recommend anytime!

Nice, near hot springs.

Nice stay, quiet & comfortable. Know that rooms are older & amenities follow suit. Yet, rooms are clean & cozy.

Nice cabins close to downtown and dog friendly.

We stayed there for 4 days. We drove there from Texas. When we arrived the first night it was very late but arrangements were made so we had access to cabin late that night.. We were put in the wrong cabin and it wasn't a very restful night and I was very fustrated .. There was no one in the office because it was late night.. Next morning I talked to the owners son and he very kindly put us in a bigger cabin and from there our stay was very great.. We were there to celebrate my oldest 19 birthday and our last family trip since she has joined the military .. Our stay was very nice , the cabin was very spacious and very clean.. When we go back to Buena Vista again, we will be staying there again.. Thank you to the owner for a very nice stay..

Cabin was pretty comfortable & cozy with good heating. Bathroom could use a renovation for the price. Nice that they let pets stay for only an additional $10 per stay! Loved our cat visitor in the morning.

Very nice hotel, separate cabins, nice kitchenette

Had a very nice, relaxed stay. Enjoyed our fourth September visit in Buena Vista/Collegiate Mountains in five years. Enjoyed the lovely scenery in the area. Buena Vista has really expanded its service base - new restaurants, upgraded bars, new shops. We enjoyed the wonders of the Collegiate Mountains, particularly Cottonwood Pass area - aspens were in full colour. We spent good, quality time in one of the nicest local hot springs. The Pinon Court is central to all this and made the stay that much more enjoyable.

We didn't get the impression until we checked in that most people live in the cabins and aren't staying just a night or two. The warnings about reporting blood stains and making sure not to run more than one electrical appliance at once was a little concerning.

Great place in Buena Vista!

Buena Vista is a hub of activity! Almost passed on this place and stayed in Salida, so glad I decided to chance it and stay here! The owner is very nice and accommodating. The quaint downtown is within walking distance and Cottonwood Lake and Cottonwood Pass, both a must see are a short drive away. If you like mountain biking, rafting, hiking and atv's this place is for you. The cabin has a fully stocked kitchen with anything you may need. Mind you the cabins may not be for everyone as they are super retro but we loved it!

Great cabin

The cabin was spacious, beds were comfortable, unit was well stocked and clean. No complaints except lack of sink in bathroom. (had to use kitchen sink).

Vintage Comfort & Loads of Personality

This is a 1930's era motor court. Rooms are not huge but are certainly fine. It doesn't have the latest and greatest amenities but is clean and comfortable with updated fixtures and a kitchenette. We stayed happily for two nights and will be back. Bonus: the hotel kitty, Mr. Monster, took shelter in our room during a storm and ended up staying a night with us. What a sweetheart. Hotel management are fun and warm people (such a rarity!). Our neighbors were the same and the whole place was quiet at 10pm, and all night into late morning. If you're looking for 4+ stars, this isn't your style. If you like cozy vintage, cool people and can live with some exposed plumbing and without luxury frills, you'll dig this joint. Hopefully Bueny won't turn into Vail! "Keep Bueny Cool!" There's a new "downtown" (uptown?) going in and blah I don't think it's an improvement. We spoke with a couple locals in the service industry who said rents are going up and it's getting harder and harder to make a living there and have a life, too. Progress? Doesn't feel like it. Support mom and pop motels like Piñon Court Cabins and maybe we can all have what we want.

Clean rooms with very tight bathroom facilities

Staff/owners are pleasant and take good care of the property. The bathroom in our cabin was very small with a camper size sink. We enjoyed the location which was central to our hiking trails. There is no clear sign leading to the business lobby and it is easy to walk into the owners home by mistake.

Perfect for what it is!

Cool little cabin with everything you need. This is not a typical hotel room with daily service. Dont stay here if this what your looking for! Awesome little mom and pop operation in a laid back mountain town.

Comfortable and charming

Would absolutely stay here again. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen facilities were quite good - was not expecting it to be so well-equipped. Even the TV had great choices.Rooms were quiet despite being so close to a major road. Cheerful decor that was unique and pleasing. Staff was really friendly. This felt like being in a home, not a hotel

Great location and Super Friendly staff!

Our cabin was ready a couple hours early for us so we were able to settle in even though we were early. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful for check in. The cabins are nicely located and easy walking for shopping and dining. Reasonably priced for the area as well. We will definitely stay there again in the future.
