2 Bedroom, Self Catering Holiday Chalet, Near Bude.

  • 12 The Glade is a privately owned self catering holiday chalet set in 30 acres on Penstowe Holiday Park. It sleeps 5 in 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 bunk and single) and has a fully equipped kitchen oven, hob, microwave and fridge. The lounge/diner has a table and 5 chairs a sofa and 2 arm chairs and a wall mounted TV with Freeview. The bathroom has a shower cubicle with curtain (electric shower, no bath) basin and toilet.

    The chalet is situated near to Bude with its spectacular surfing beaches and National Trust Areas. This makes it an ideal base for exploring in Cornwall and Devon.

    Bed linen is provided and the beds made for you on arrival, 2 tea towels,oven gloves and a bath mat are also provided. You will need to bring your own towels as none are provided. There are electric heaters in the bedrooms and the living room. Electricity is provided via a coin meter which accepts £1 coins. To the front of the chalet is a picnic bench and a grass area which enjoys a sunny aspect during the afternoon and into the early evening (weather permitting). There is parking close to the chalet. People with restricted mobility should be aware there are steps to access the chalet.

    The local village of Kilkhampton is only a short walk/drive and has a couple of local stores and a Co-Op, 2 Public Houses with restaurants, Fish & Chip Shop, Chinese and Pizza Takeaway.

    Penstowe Holiday Park is a pet friendly site, but does request dogs are kept on leads and not left unattended in the chalets.

    We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at an addition charge £20 per dog.
    We have another chalet on this site (ref 10199296) which is suitable for larger parties, sleeping 7/9 guests.

Iv started here two times now and every time it’s bin the best times the place is clean tidy and welcoming everything you need is there tv cooker fridge pots pans cups and plates beds are comfy and clean the weather was spot on and I mead some good friends in the London inn the pub just down the road I will be back next year

Peaceful setting

Very nice place quite near the sea. There are shops local including a post office. We recommend you travel by car then you can easily get to places.

Wonderful Bude

Exactly as described clean,warm,comfortable close to Bude and so manyother places to go and visit, my only little niggle was no handrail on ascent to chalet and the height of the top strp into chalet, both my wife and I tripped on it a couple of times, other than that an absolulely brilliant place to stay, would reccomend it to anyone, Thankyou.

Lovely base

Good base for day trips. Good value for money. Shame that we couldn’t use the on-site indoor or outdoor swimming pool, as it would have entertained the children. The swimming pool is only open to certain residents but not others Having said that summer leaze beach was about a 15 min drive away, so used that instead. Clean chalet, with all facilities that we needed. Dog friendly was a plus. Bar onsite open from 7pm. We would stay again for the price we paid.

Very nice and comfortable chalet in Penstowe Holiday Park. All the creature comforts you need. Walking distance to Coop shop, pizza takeaway, fish and chips and two pubs. About 10 to 15 drive to one of 5 stunning local beaches. Lots to do on the area. Peter is super quick to respond to queries. We had a lovely stay. A*****
