We loved staying in this beautiful apartment in Budapest. The photos are 100% accurate and the apartment was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Gabor, the owner, couldn't have been nicer or more responsive. He answered questions quickly, gave us great advice, and was really lovely to work with.
While we really liked the apartment, it might not be right for all travelers and so I want to mention a couple of quirky things about it.
The most notable, potentially problematic thing is the bed. As shown in the photographs, the bed is located atop a loft in the middle of the apartment. To get to/from the bed, you have to climb up a narrow stairway and then crawl (or stoop) over to the bed. If you get up at night to go to the bathroom, this can be a bit of a hassle. If there are two people sleeping in the bed, the person on the "far side" has a bit of extra maneuvering to do to get across the bed and down the stairs. The bed's open location means that it also isn't insulated from noise or light coming from elsewhere in the apartment. If there are two people staying there, they'd need to agree on bed time.
If you're a flexible person, this bed situation might not faze you at all. But it's something I would have liked to know about - so I'm mentioning it.
The location is convenient for catching trams and getting around the city, but the neighborhood is a bit gritty and can be noisy.
